Is 9-1-1: Lonestar ending?
June 4th, 2024 under Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

9-1-1 moved over to ABC, leaving 9-1-1: Lonestar all alone on Fox. The latter took this year off because of the strikes. And now it looks like Lonestar is ending.

Robyn Lively, who joined the series this season, posted this message on social media: “So excited to be a part of @911lonestar’s final season!! What a ride it’s been! You guys.. let’s be so for real, if teen me could’ve peered into the future and saw me on set working with @roblowe in a fiery blaze of glory… know what I meeean?! Tune in, the show is awesome and the cast and crew have been top tier. I’ve loved every second!”

As of now, Fox has not yet commented. Would you be upset if it ended with season 5?

Peter Krause walks into a window!
June 3rd, 2024 under Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

9-1-1 almost had to call 9-1-1 this season because of Peter Krause. Kenneth Choi shared a video of his co-star filming a scene that required him to leave a house and walk over to the pool.

The house had a wall with floor-length windows that look out the backyard. Well, they cleaned the windows so well that he didn’t realize they were there. So, Captain Nash went and bashed into the window.

Thankfully, his pride was hurt more than anything else, so he just laughed it off.

And here is my story about him. I was working on the same lot as him. I saw him walking by as he was memorizing his lines. He was so fixated on learning them that nothing could distract him. I was like, is this his ghost from Six Feet Under?

The point of that story is that he gets so into his acting that I can totally understand how this happened to him.

If you are not following Kenneth Choi on social media, you need to do so. He shares videos like this all the time!

ABC rescues 9-1-1 for another season
April 2nd, 2024 under ABC, Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

(Disney/Chris Willard)

ABC saved 9-1-1 from Fox’s cancellation at the end of last season.

The show debuted to huge numbers on March 14th. So, ABC is not going to wait to renew the first responders procedural for a 2nd/8th season. Therefore, Variety is reporting the network picked it up today for the 2024-2025 season.

Granted, the decision is such a no-brainer that anyone could see it coming.

FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans looks scandalous
January 3rd, 2024 under Demi Moore, Naomi Watts, Ryan Murphy, Treat Williams. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YabKNs66eeg

Ryan Murphy is back with his biggest cast to date in FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans.

Acclaimed writer Truman Capote (Tom Hollander) surrounded himself with a coterie of society’s most elite women – rich, glamorous socialites who defined a bygone era of high society New York – whom he nicknamed “the swans.” Beautiful and distinguished, the group included grande dame Barbara “Babe” Paley (Naomi Watts), Slim Keith (Diane Lane), C.Z. Guest (Chloë Sevigny) and Lee Radziwill (Calista Flockhart). Enchanted and captivated by these doyennes, Capote ingratiated himself into their lives, befriending them and becoming their confidante, only to ultimately betray them by writing a thinly veiled fictionalization of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets. When an excerpt from the book, Answered Prayers, Capote’s planned magnum opus, was published in Esquire, it effectively destroyed his relationship with his swans, banished him from the high society he so loved and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover.

I have a feeling the behind-the-scenes on this series were better than anything that the Swans could’ve dreamed of.

Feud debuts on January 31st on FX. Are you going to watch? I am watching just for the late Treat Williams.

9-1-1 is cruising over to ABC
December 30th, 2023 under Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQdEEE9Yq6Y

9-1-1 is the King of Disaster shows, and they are going to continue that legacy over at their new home, ABC, on March 14th.

Or at least it seems that way in the first promo that the network shared. Jennifer Love Hewitt gets a phone call from a cruise ship that is sinking due to an explosion. And she sends help their way.

Just from the 30-second teaser, it is obvious that ABC is going to be throwing money Ryan Murphy’s way to do what he wants.

Like, as some suspect, get Station 19 cancelled.

9-1-1 was cancelled by Fox in May and saved by ABC.
