Do we really need another series about the Menendez Brothers?
August 20th, 2024 under Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

There have been television movies, documentaries, and a series about the Menendez Brothers killing their parents in 1989. So I ask you, do we need another one?

Netflix and Ryan Murphy think we do, so they are giving us Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story on September 19th. What more can they tell us? What more do we need to hear?

Andrew Cunanan, Jeffrey Dahmer, and Monica Lewinsky made sense because their stories had not been told. However, the Menendez’s tale has been told over and over again.

So, will I watch it? It has two things going against it. One – I just don’t care about them. Two – When was the last time Murphy did something that was watchable from the first episode to the finale?

9-1-1: Lone Star took the last season off because of the strikes. However, it is coming back in a big way on September 23rd.

Fox released a first look today, and the first few episodes are going to be exciting and must-not-miss.

Peter Krause walks into a window!
June 3rd, 2024 under Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

9-1-1 almost had to call 9-1-1 this season because of Peter Krause. Kenneth Choi shared a video of his co-star filming a scene that required him to leave a house and walk over to the pool.

The house had a wall with floor-length windows that look out the backyard. Well, they cleaned the windows so well that he didn’t realize they were there. So, Captain Nash went and bashed into the window.

Thankfully, his pride was hurt more than anything else, so he just laughed it off.

And here is my story about him. I was working on the same lot as him. I saw him walking by as he was memorizing his lines. He was so fixated on learning them that nothing could distract him. I was like, is this his ghost from Six Feet Under?

The point of that story is that he gets so into his acting that I can totally understand how this happened to him.

If you are not following Kenneth Choi on social media, you need to do so. He shares videos like this all the time!

ABC rescues 9-1-1 for another season
April 2nd, 2024 under ABC, Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

(Disney/Chris Willard)

ABC saved 9-1-1 from Fox’s cancellation at the end of last season.

The show debuted to huge numbers on March 14th. So, ABC is not going to wait to renew the first responders procedural for a 2nd/8th season. Therefore, Variety is reporting the network picked it up today for the 2024-2025 season.

Granted, the decision is such a no-brainer that anyone could see it coming.
