Even though we are 50 weeks away from the next Golden Globes and even though Rickey Gervais jokes were not all well received, he says The Hollywood Foreign Press has asked him back for a third time. According to Sky News he told Heat Magazine, “I don’t think I should. I don’t know what I could do better. I certainly couldn’t get more press for them, that’s for sure. You know me. Two seasons is enough.” He was then asked if he went to far and he said, “No.” I have yet to find anyone who was actually offended by it.”
If you can’t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at? And I thought most of his jokes were funny, they went right to brink of going overboard, but stopping before they went too far. So I say bring him back and sever a extra few glasses of wine to everyone, so they will be less sensitive about his innocent jokes.

Before Ricky Gervais bombed at the Golden Globes, he bombed as a singer in the band Seona Dancing. Holy sh!t how sexy was the 21 year old singer in that 1983 video? I can’t get over how doable he was back then!!!
I think that Ricky Gervais is very funny and I wish he was enough to make me watch the Golden Globes this Sunday on NBC, but sadly he isn’t. Granted it became even tougher for me after I saw him on Conan yesterday and he told him about the joke that was banned from the show. At first I was like this isn’t funny, but once he got to the punchline, he had me in hysterics. Would you have laughed if it was able to be part of the show?
Madonna makes a rare television appearance on her good friend Jerry Seinfeld’s show The Marriage Ref tonight on NBC at 10p. Not only is the twice divorced musician a panelist on the show, so is the hysterical and happily married Ricky Gervais. The host of the show, Tom Papa was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and he told him that during tonight’s TMR he had to yell at the singer, “Not now Madonna! You behave yourself.” I can’t wait to see what she did to warrant that type of response. Should be an interesting episode, so check it out on NBC at 10p.
Whenever Ricky Gervais is on a talk show you know it is going to be hilarious. So when he is on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show you expect that Jon Stewart will be able to handle him, right? Well as you will see in this interview, he can’t and he completely loses it. Gotta hand it to Ricky to get Jon Stewart to get out of his chair in hysterics and lose control of the interview like that. I so love when an talk show chat goes awry like that!

Finally how awesome would be if these award show hosts actually hosted a ceremony together? Forget Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, they would be the high in demand hosts…and you can throw Neil Patrick Harris and Hugh Jackman in for good measure!
