Ever since Regis Philbin stopped doing Live with Regis and Kelly, we haven’t seen that much of him. Well, yesterday he came out of hiding on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he really let himself go. I mean, he didn’t get fat; but he has grown his hair out and also a long scraggly beard. I guess if you are not on television everyday, you don’t have to get a haircut or shave and you can look like the hermit you have become.
Now, having said all of that, Regis was just wearing a wig and fake beard to play Gd on the ABC late night talk show. This is a good example where writing a lie is so much better than telling the truth.

Both Regis Philbin and Michael Strahan attended the 2013 Fox Sports Media Group Upfront After Party yesterday and looks the Kelly Ripa’s new co-star is trying to kill her old one. The former-football player got Reeg’s job, what more does he want?
Of course it is just two men playing around, but it was too cool of a picture not the share!
BTW is it wrong that I kind of wish it was Strahan and Philbin hosting the morning talk show together instead of The Brothers actor and Ripa?
Regis Philbin was a guest on NBC’s Late Night yesterday and he asked Jimmy Fallon for some advice about an upcoming guest appearance he is doing. The former-daytime talk show host is going to guest star on Hot in Cleveland as a love interest of Betty White and he asked the late night host if he open mouth kiss her. Fallon was so shocked by the question and yelled absolutely not in horror. The reaction scared the Reeg so much that he jumped up. As soon as he sat down, Fallon changed the line of question without a following up or anything. I wonder what horrified so much to garner that reaction.
When it comes to if Philbin should kiss Betty White open or close mouthed, I say open all the way. That will totally put the hot in Hot in Cleveland.
About a week and a half ago Regis Philbin left Live with Regis and Kelly and now ABC has found another show for him to host on the network. Yesterday while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the younger host let the older one make 3 wishes and one of them was for him to take over the show. Well with an abracadabra the Reeg was hosting the late night show. Did it stick? Nope by the end of the commercial break both men were back in their proper seats, but for a minute it was fun to imagine Regis back on TV because there has been a hole since left to pursue new opportunities. Not that I want to see Kimmel out of a job, but I want someone who knows how to host to remain on TV and get rid of all the ones who are on daytime that can’t off of our airwaves.
I don’t know about you, but it seems like almost every time I turn on the television Regis Phibin is there. And there is a good reason for that because the Live with Regis and Kelly host was honored with Guinness Book of World Records for being on US television the most. He has been on airwaves a total of 16,746 hours and counting…
Maybe he should reconsider his decision of retiring because you know that Ryan Seacrest is catching up to his record and he is about half his age.
