Reba McEntire was reunited with her Reba show creator, Kevin Abbott, and co-star Melissa Peterman at the start of her NBC sitcom, Happy’s Place.
Since the premiere, we saw her Reba son-in-law, Steve Howey, and ex-husband, Christopher Rich, appear on her new show.
That was season 1. Today, we found out that her Reba daughter, JoAnna Garcia, will guest star on an upcoming episode. She will play Kenzie, a local Knoxville influencer who has been hired to represent Happy’s Place for their upcoming social media marketing campaign and all of it is much to Bobbie’s (McEntire) chagrin.
Over the weekend, the Reba co-stars, including Reba’s fiancé, Rex Linn, who also stars on Happy’s Place, got together at a different restaurant, and now we know why. To celebrate Swisher’s appearance on the sitcom.
At this rate, they should just give us a Reba sequel. Because, like the singer, that show is a survivor!

Reba McEntire and Rex Linn broke some news on the red carpet tonight at the Emmys. The co-stars of Happy’s Place are getting married after dating for five years!
Live From E!: 2025 Emmys correspondent Zuri Hall introduced Linn as McEntire’s fiancée, and she mouthed yeah, confirming the news.
The couple met in the 1990s but didn’t start dating until 2020, when they were reunited on the set of Young Sheldon, where she was a guest star.
I am so happy for these two because they are the perfect couple! I hope they don’t wait too long to say I do!!!
Earlier this month, Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brian Blackstock, passed away from cancer at the age of 48. Even though they split in 2020, he was still the father of her two children, River and Remy.
Therefore, she needed to spend some time with her kids as they mourn the loss of their father. So, she postponed all of her August dates for her Las Vegas residency.
But that was not all. According to Deadline, she also took a break from The Voice, which is currently filming its Spring season with her, John Legend, and Adam Levine.
During her absence, fellow American Idol contestant and daytime talk show host Jennifer Hudson filled in for her. But now, Clarkson is back in the red spinning chair.
Hudson was a coach on The Voice in the UK and a mega mentor for season 26 in the States.
Clarkson is not the only Voice coach who was affected by Blackstock’s death. He was Reba McEntire’s stepson, and she helped raise him. Unlike Kelly, she did not take any time off from the singing competition, which is concurrently filming, but the Fall season.
Reba’s edition of The Voice will premiere on September 22nd, and Kelly will debut in 2026.
This behind-the-scenes photo of Reba, Melissa Peterman, and Chris Rich from tonight’s Happy’s Place has caption me written all over it, so go ahead and do it.
Reba McEntire had some really happy news to share with her Happy’s Place co-stars and crew today. The Friday night bar sitcom will be back for a second season.
This is her third sitcom with Kevin Abbott, second with her Reba BFF Melissa Peterman, and first with her boyfriend Rex Linn (when are they going to get married).
Happy’s Place tells the story of Bobbie (Reba), who recently lost her father and gains a twenty-something sister, Bella (Belissa Escobedo). Reba and Bella inherit his bar, and they have to make their newfound relationship work while dealing with everything else that comes with running it. That includes Gabby (Peterman) the bubbly bartender, Emmett (Linn) the curmudgeon cook, Steve (Pablo Castelblanco) the uptight money man, and Tokoda (Tokala Black Elk) the calm and wise handy man.
They are not only co-workers, but they are also family. It is that chemistry that made this show a hit , which is why NBC picked it up for another season.
