The Oscar nominations will be announced on Monday, but we don’t have to wait that long to find out which movies are nominated for being the worst of 2021. The Razzies are out now.
Since this is the worst 365 days of our lives, it makes sense that 365 Days and DoLittle received the most noms with six each. Fantasy Island came in second with five. Then there was Music which got four.
I have to admit that Music wasn’t that bad. It felt like a ’70s telemovie. There were just two problems, Maddie Ziegler and the music videos. Ziegler needs to stick dancing because acting is not her forte.
Talking about acting, I am happy my friend, who made the pre-noms, did make the official noms. However, her movie did get two noms.

The second trailer is out for Cats and it is even more of a mess than the first one. 10 out of 10 vets said to put it down and out of our misery.
While that is us, in the trailer they say, “This Christmas, many will compete, only one can win. You’re invited, to the most joyful event, of the holiday season.” That lie is bigger than anything that has come out of Donald Trump’s mind.
I read that the film will not make the award show circuit because they will not be able to screen it in time. However, there is one award organization that does not go by that and this movie will be a big nominee. Which one? The Razzies, of course.
While several celebrities brought home Oscar gold, The Rock brought home a different type of gold statuette this weekend. His movie Baywatch won a Razzie for So Rotten You Loved It. Instead of being all upset about it, DJ proudly accepted the honor just like Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry and Jamie Dornan have before him.
Since he was not in Hollywood this weekend, he made an acceptance video. Giving us just another reason to love him and his bad movies. On that note, he will probably be nominated for another Razzie next year for Rampage. Sorry DJ, not trying to be mean.
When it comes to Baywatch, I don’t know if it was so rotten I loved it because I shut it off after 10 minutes. I just couldn’t do it. How does Zac Efron have a knack to star is some of the worst movies of the year, every year?
One last thing Dwayne Johnson, dog people might be cool, but cat people are even cooler!
As funny as Seth Meyers line, “ladies and remaining gentleman,” was at the Golden Globes, The Razzies’ In Memoriam to the men who have finally lost their careers because of the #MeToo movement is even better. Seriously, this is so brilliant, my pants almost came off for it. Too soon?
It is a moment like this that makes me so proud to be a Razzie member. Best money I spend every year. Mostly because I have seen more of their nominated movies than I do the Oscars. And I think the Emoji movie is so much better than All the Money in the World.
On that note, the Razzies also revealed who won this year’s worst movie and so on. To see who this year’s losers are, then click here!
When it comes to the big movie awards show like the Oscars and the Golden Globes, I could care less. Those movies don’t interest me and I can’t remember the last time I saw one of the nominees let alone winners.
Now when it comes to the Razzies, I am excited every year to see who gets nominated and who wins. Not only because I am a proud member, but also because I will watch the loser to see if it as bad as my fellow voters say it is.
Although I don’t know if I could sit through either 9-time nominee Zoolander 2 or 8-time nom Batman v Superman. Instead I will watch 3-time nominee Boo! A Madea Halloween. I actually want to see that. Unlike Blah Blah Land or Manchester by the see me cry a Sea.
Do you prefer the bad movies over the good ones or the Oscar worthy over the Razztastic ones?
