Can Ben save a plane from crashing on Quantum Leap?
March 27th, 2023 under Quantum Leap. [ Comments: none ]

Last week on Quantum Leap, Janis Calavicci (Georgina Reilly) told Magic (Ernie Hudson) that she believes that Ziggy the computer is the mole.

So tonight at 10p on NBC, Magic decides to turn off Ziggy so that Martinez (Walter Perez) cannot follow Ben (Raymond Lee) wherever and whenever he goes. However, it is a bad time to do it because Ben is on a plane that mysteriously crashes in the Atlantic Ocean in 1971.

Without Ziggy telling the team what to do, that means that Ian (Mason Alexander Park) and Addison (Caitlin Bassett) are flying as blind as Ben is on that flight where he is a stewardess.

Will they be able to save the plane from crashing? I cannot tell you that. What I can tell you is that the ending sets up for next week’s season finale. And I don’t like it.

And it sucks that it ended that way because tonight’s episode was the best one of the season. So when you are done watching it, tell me what you think of the ending.

Quantum Leap is finally back after that shocking cliffhanger
January 2nd, 2023 under Quantum Leap. [ Comments: none ]

It has been almost two months since we got a new episode of Quantum Leap, and it is finally back with a new episode tonight at 10p on NBC.

When we last left off, Ben (Raymond Lee) told Addison (Deborah Ann Woll) that the reason why he started leaping was to save her. Just as he said that to her, he leaped into a new person. Therefore, leaving her and us hanging.

Ben leaps into a bodyguard, who is protecting Carly (Deborah Ann Woll), a singer, in 1979. When Addison tells him to save her life, he does. However, that doesn’t keep her from being killed. So now, he has to do whatever he can to save her.

Much like he has to save his fiancée. Addison sees the parallels between Carly and herself, but Ben doesn’t. Will she be able to get through to him?

When Addison tells Magic (Ernie Hudson), Jenn (Nanrisa Lee), and Ian (Mason Alexander Park) why Ben is leaping, they start doing everything in their power to save her too. They even go as far as to find Al’s daughter Janis Calavicci (Georgina Reilly), to see what she knows about Addison’s fate. What she says will shock you. But I have said too much.

What I will say is that I am happy that the series is focusing as much on the leaps as they do on what is going on during the current time. I don’t know about you, but I am tuning in more for the leaps than the serialized content.

Since they have been doing a 50/50 mix, I think that the Sci-Fi Drama has really found its groove. Therefore, making it totally groovy!

Quantum Leap leaps into a second season
December 12th, 2022 under Quantum Leap. [ Comments: none ]

Even though it is still 2022, NBC announced today that they picked up Quantum Leap for a second season.

“We’re leaping into a second season thanks to the incredible work by our cast, producers, writers and everyone who has played a role in giving this iconic NBC series a new life,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “As we continue to bring audiences to our must-watch dramas, it’s gratifying to know ‘Quantum Leap’ will have a prominent place next season both on our NBC schedule and next day on Peacock.”

The sequel, which stars Raymond Lee, Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee, is the #2 new show in the 18-49 demo. So the renewal should come as no surprise.

Plus, it is a really good show that is finding its groovy with each leap.

Before Raymond Lee was traveling through time making a difference in people’s lives on Quantum Leap, he made a difference in Ted Mosby’s life on How I Met Your Mother. How funny was the 25-year-old in that 2012 episode?

Ben performs an exorcism on tonight’s Quantum Leap
October 31st, 2022 under NBC, Quantum Leap. [ Comments: none ]

It is Halloween, so how is Quantum Leap going to do a themed episode tonight at 10p on NBC? They are going to send Ben (Raymond Lee) back in time to perform an exorcism on a girl whose family is convinced she is possessed.

Since Ben isn’t going as himself, he leaps into the body of a priest. How does a doctor who doesn’t believe in religion handle the situation? You are going to want to see how he gets himself and the girl out of it. Especially when he starts believing that she is being controlled by a demon.

She is not the only one being controlled by someone else. So is Ziggy. Because of that, Addison is having problems communicating with Ziggy (Caitlin Bassett). What is causing Ziggy to go all haywire? You will find out, and it is the series’ biggest reveal yet.

But I have said too much. What I will also say is tonight’s episode is the series’ best one yet. I hope now that the writers have found their groove, they will continue to write episodes like this one.
