At the end of his very own annus horribilis, Sir Paul McCartney is about to revisit happier times. The former Beatle is planning to make a stage show inspired by his working-class childhood in Liverpool. "It is based on Paul’s classical work The Liverpool -Oratorio," explained Kate Robbins, Sir Paul’s cousin, who is working on the adaptation. "Paul will approve every note as musical director." For the 64-year-old it has been the year when divorce proceedings began between him and his second wife, Heather Mills, and when, in a legal submission, the model-turned-campaigner accused him of drunken and abusive behaviour towards her. "The project has been delayed by divorce worries," admitted Miss Robbins. Sir Paul composed The Liverpool Oratorio, his first classical work, with Carl Davis in 1991 to commemorate the city’s 150th anniversary. The story loosely follows the path of the musician’s life, with the main character, Shanty, who was born in 1942 in Liverpool, marrying his sweetheart, Mary Dee, after the death of his father. McCartney was deeply affected by the death of his mother, Mary, in October 1956, when he was 14. Shanty and Mary Dee are forced to deal with the rigours of balancing a happy marriage and their careers, in the same way as Sir Paul and his first wife Linda – reportedly, the couple spent a total of less than a week apart during their 29-year union, despite their demanding commitments. During a quarrel, Mary Dee reveals that she is pregnant and, after surviving a near-fatal accident, gives birth to their son. Linda was four months pregnant with McCartney’s first child, Mary, when they married at Marylebone Register Office in 1969. This was not the first time McCartney’s childhood had been the inspiration for his music: his 1967 song Penny Lane was named after a road in Liverpool in which both he and John Lennon were said to have played as children. McCartney’s upbringing was far from affluent. At his wedding to Heather Mills in 2002, he referred to its poverty. "Back then, I’d have had a wedding just to get the rice," he said. "My trousers were so thin, if I sat down on a penny I could find out which way up it was – heads or tails." Although theatres in the West End of London are expected to compete to stage the new musical, Sir Paul may decide to open it in his home town during Liverpool’s year as the European Capital of Culture in 2008.

Heather Mills-McCartney is so determined not be caught a limb short, that she drives around with a spare one in the back seat of her car. Unlike most motorists who carry a spare tyre in their car, Lady Mills-McCartney, has been spotted ferrying her spare prosthetic limb around in her four-wheel drive Mercedes. Heather has worn a prosthetic since being a hit by a police motorbike in 1993 and often takes her leg off to make a point, such as when she appeared on US talk show Larry King in 2002 and let the host handle it. Now in throes of one of the celebrity world’s dirtiest divorces, there are signs that Heather gone off all members of the McCartney family, as she was also spotted wearing a pair of step-daughter-in-law designer Stella’s expensive non-leather shoes.

That would freak me out if I walked by her car and saw that…granted seeing her would also freak me out.

Paul McCartney will give his estranged wife Heather Mills a $235 million divorce package to safeguard his health, according to a British newspaper. The News of the World reports the former Beatle was urged to agree the deal by his daughters Stella and Mary because they are concerned the bitter divorce battle is affecting his well-being. The siblings reportedly told their father, "If this goes on, it could kill you. Being happy is more important than money." The newspaper claims McCartney will publicly give his estranged wife a mere $19.5 million, most of which she’ll donate to charity. But she’ll actually secure an enormous secret package including $5.9 million a year as a divorce settlement, $15.7 million to buy homes in America and Europe, $5.9 million for English accommodation and more than $3.9 million a year for staff and general expenses for the next 15 years. One of McCartney’s aides tells the newspaper, "It’s a done deal and Paul is relieved."

Heather Mill’s a$$ is too good for a wheelchair |

HEATHER Mills accused British Airways of humiliating her after staff got a wheelchair instead of a buggy to take her to her flight. The former model, who has an artificial leg, asked her helper: "Have you got it in for me?" Heather, 38, was overhead telling staff: "This is vile! Why are you doing this to me? Don’t you know I have only one leg? Why are you treating me like this?" Heather, involved in a bitter divorce battle with her ex-husband Sir Paul McCartney, checked in at Gatwick airport at 7am for her flight to Brussels. She had requested a wheelchair when she booked her economy flight but apparently expected to get a ride to the departure gate in an electric buggy. A source near the BA desk, whose staff were handling her flight with SN Brussels, said: "Heather’s face fell when she saw the wheelchair. "She was mortified. She asked for an electric buggy but there was not one available. Eventually, after getting a few things off her chest, she decided to walk to the plane. "Heather was clearly worried about how she would look being pushed in a wheelchair. She was very jumpy. "She thought everyone had it in for her. It was very embarrassing for her. She thought she shouldn’t have been put in such an embarrassing position. "It created a bit of a fuss which a fair few people witnessed." Heather was travelling to Brussels with her sister Fiona and newsreader Fiona Bruce last Thursday. She was due to present a petition to the European Parliament calling for dog and cat fur imports into the EU to be banned. But she was furious to find a wheelchair and assistant from OCS Transport Services ready to push her to departure gate 45. After complaining, she made the five-minute journey to catch flight 2122 on foot. Another witness said: "The check-in staff were conscious of Heather’s disability and respectful of it and politely did all they could. "But the situation was beyond their control. A wheelchair was requested and provided. The fact that she chose not to use it was up to her." British Airways confirmed the incident. A spokesman would only say: "We are unable to access the relevant booking details for Miss Mills’ flight. We’ve not received a complaint." A spokesman for Heather confirmed that she had been offered a wheelchair, which she declined, but said there was no altercation.
Daily Mirror
Just when you think she can’t do anything more bitchy she does something like this. I mean she asked for a wheelchair and that is what she got. If she wanted a buggy, she should’ve asked for it. She has to realize that she is no longer married to Paul McCartney, and they are not going to cater to her every desire anymore.
