Back in December, Paramount+ picked up Why Women Kill for a third season, but today they killed the anthology series.
“Paramount+ has made the difficult decision not to move forward with Season 3 of ‘Why Women Kill,’” a Paramount+ spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. “We would like to thank our partners at CBS Studios and Imagine Television Studios, the amazing creator and showrunner Marc Cherry and the incredible writers, cast and crew for two memorable seasons.”
While I am sad about their decision, I am OK with it. The first season with Ginnifer Goodwin, Lucy Liu, and Alexandra Daddario was really entertaining because it took place over three different time periods that were all connected by the same house. The second season just dealt with one storyline, and it didn’t really have any real payoff.
Let’s be honest. The world is a depressing place right now with everything going on. We just need something that is going to distract us, require no brain cells, and will make us laugh for a few hours.
Mike Judge knows we all need to laugh really hard, so he brought back his most beloved characters to make the problems of the world seem so much smaller. That is exactly what Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe streaming on Paramount+ does! It doesn’t solve the gas prices, but it will make you laugh at people with gas like you did when you were a kid.
It is 1998, and Beavis and Butt-Head are in high school. Their school is holding its annual science fair, and the winner gets to go to Space Camp. The two of them screw up and set the school on fire, fire.
They go to court, and the judge sentences them to 8 weeks of Space Camp. While they are here, Astronaut Serena thinks that they can do something on the Space Shuttle that can help her. Therefore, she brings them with her to outer space. They think she wants to have sex with them, so they agree to go with her.
Of course, they screw up, and the shuttle is in danger. They need to get rid of two people if they want to make it back to Earth alive. Beavis and Butt-Head accidentally sacrifice themselves.
But all hope is not lost because they go into a black hole and come out in 2022. Now, they are looking for Serena because they think they are going to score with her. So, they are on a mission to find her. Meanwhile, she and the Feds are out to find them. What happens when they all meet up? You are not going to want to miss what happens when that happens.
This movie is not about the plot, which works. It is about Beavis and Butt-Head being so horny that everything they hear reminds them of sex. Sometimes, like now, we all need to watch something mindless to make us forget the troubles of the World. So, for 90 minutes, we get to laugh along with them whenever they hear something that sounds like dick.
This movie won’t make you smarter, but it will make you happier! And don’t we all need that these days? Yeah, yeah.
If you still need more Beavis and Butt-Head when the film is done, then you can watch every episode on Paramount+. The series holds up surprisingly well.
Evil is back for its third season, and it is a charm. This is the first season that was produced for Paramount+ instead of CBS, and they are taking advantage of it being on a streaming service.
The show is about Dr. Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers), a forensic psychologist, David Acosta (Mike Colter), a former journalist turned priest, and Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi), a technology expert who has to prove if religious phenomena are from Gd or from man.
On the season premiere, there is a company that is trying to find out if someone really loses 21 grams when they die that is not related to bodily extractions.
The company has reached out to the church to find out if there is anyone that they know that can be used as a subject. There is a priest with cancer who has less than a day to live, so he volunteers to be that subject.
Everything goes as planned, and the late priest loses 21 grams when he dies. However, what happens next will leave everyone speechless except him…
Interesting concept, right? And there is a lot more like that coming up this season.
And for those of you who are wondering about Leland (Michael Emerson)? He is still there, and he is still evil. This season, he has set his eyes on one of Bouchard’s daughters. What will Bouchard do to fight back? And we learned last season you don’t want to fuck with her.
And you don’t want to miss this series that takes on unexplained religious oddities in a way that leaves you on the edge of your seat every week.
Just when you think that we couldn’t get any dumber as a nation, Beavis and Butt-Head will return to our small screens later this month. So they’re back to Outer Space in Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe streaming June 23rd on Paramount+.
According to the press release, “the dumbest science fiction movie ever made” deals with the two of them winding up at space camp through “creative sentencing” from a juvenile court judge in 1998. Mistaking a docking simulator for something else (huh huh), Beavis and Butt-Head excel at it and are asked to join the space shuttle mission in a PR move. After ruining the mission, they are left for dead in space and end up going through a black hole and reemerging back on Earth in 2022, only to discover a very different world – and find themselves considered Buttholes of Interest by the NSA, the governor of Texas, and a highly intelligent version of themselves from a parallel universe. Also they almost lose their virginity, but don’t.
Of course, they don’t lose their virginities. They wouldn’t be able to stop chuckling long enough to do it. And now, I am picturing them having sex. I am going to have to watch the trailer again to get that image out of my head.
Oh, and if this is not enough good news for you, then how about every episode of the show has been remastered, and it is streaming on Paramount+ as you read this!
Paramount+ announced that this upcoming season of The Good Fight will be the series’ last one. It is the legal drama’s 6th season and the franchise’s 13th. The Good Wife, the show it spun off of, aired for 7 seasons on CBS.
“We’ve LOVED fighting ‘The Good Fight’ these last six seasons. To be able to tell stories about an upside-down world in real time has been a gift. And to have worked with these talented, brilliant, generous actors, writers and crew has been a blessing,” said Robert and Michelle King, series co-creators, showrunners, and executive producers. “Our hope-slash-scheme is to find ways to work with all of them again in the future.”
Before the Kings get to work with them again, they have to finish filming this last season. What can we expect in their farewell season? The press release says, “Diane feeling like she’s going crazy, struggling with an uneasy sense of déjà vu, with everything from Roe v. Wade, to voting rights, to Cold War aggressions returning. Meanwhile, the lawyers of Reddick & Associates wonder if the violence that they see all around them points to an impending civil war.”
The final 10 episodes begin streaming on September 8th.
