Roy Horn passed away today from coronavirus at the age of 75 according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Horn was best known for being half of the magic/animal act Siegfried & Roy. The two men delighted Las Vegas for years.
“Today, the world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend,” Siegfried Fischbacher said in a statement. “From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world. There could be no Siegfried without Roy, and no Roy without Siegfried.
“Roy was a fighter his whole life including during these final days. I give my heartfelt appreciation to the team of doctors, nurses and staff at Mountain View Hospital who worked heroically against this insidious virus that ultimately took Roy’s life.”
In 2003, tragedy struck the duo when Horn was bitten by one of their tigers. He spent the rest of his life recovering from the incident.

Kenny Rogers passed away yesterday at the age of 81 from natural causes in home hospice.
The singer got his big break in 1966 with the folk group New Christy Minstrels. When they broke up in 1974, he went solo and had a huge career as a Country star.
He had 24 #1 hits including Lady, Lucille, She Believes In Me, and Through the Years. One of his biggest hits was Islands in the Stream with Dolly Parton. The two recorded several duets together.
His biggest song is The Gambler and it spawned five telemovies. It was just one of the few movies he starred in throughout his career.
It wasn’t all entertainment for him, in 1991 he opened Kenny Rogers Roasters, a fast food chicken joint that was actually quite yummy.
He was the first Country artist I ever listened to, and I will remember his music with a smile. Today, let’s remember The Gambler by listening to his many great tunes with a big old smile on his face.
