Donnie Wahlberg will be back on CBS this Fall with the Blue Bloods spinoff, Boston Blue. Little by little, CBS announced who will be joining him on the series. Today, they made a shocking casting announcement.
Andrew Terraciano, who played Danny Reagan’s son, Sean, for all but one episode, will be replaced by Mika Amonsen in the new show.
Sources told Deadline, “The recasting stems from the character taking a new creative direction on Boston Blue as he follows the Reagans’ career path into law enforcement. Meanwhile, the addition of Sean to the offshoot helps explain Danny’s move from his native New York to Boston.”
I don’t know about you, but I think that is so fucked up. When someone plays the role for 14 seasons, you don’t kick them to the curb for someone else.

If you watched Blue Bloods, then you loved their weekly dinners at the Reagan dinner table. It made you want to sit alongside them and be part of their family chats.
While you can’t sit next to Tom Selleck, you can sit at the table.
Donnie Wahlberg announced that he took the table he sat at for 14 years and was going to have it tour the different Wahlburgers. And he kept to that promise.
The table made its debut at Wahlburgers St. Charles, and now it is waiting for you to make a reservation. You and six of your friends can join Donnie Wahlberg for a meal or you can reserve it for you and 5-7 of your loved ones! Then, you can order from the menu and dine with tableware that the Reagans enjoyed eating with during every episode.
Not only are you helping yourself to a night you will never forget, but you will be helping others. Net proceeds go to NYPD’s Detectives Endowment Association – Widows and Children’s Fund and Northwestern Medicine Cancer Center Delnor!
Does this something you want to be part of? Don’t wait too long because it will only be at that location for a short time. Then it will be traveling to the other Wahlburger’s around the country.
You can make a reservation here.

Donnie Wahlberg gets his own Blue Bloods spinoff |

In November 2023, CBS made a shocking decision to cancel one of its most popular shows, Blue Bloods. However, today, the network announced something to sort of rectify their choice.
There have been rumors that the police procedural would be getting a spinoff, and now we know it is true. Donnie Wahlberg is getting his own series.
In Boston Blue, a universe expansion of the long-running top drama Blue Bloods, Wahlberg will reprise his role as NYPD officer Danny Reagan as he takes a position with Boston PD. Once in Boston, he is paired with Detective Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family.
It will be interesting to see how Danny’s character survives without his family, which was such an important part of the series’ dynamic.
Another thing I am curious about is how will Boston-born Wahlberg will handle playing a proud New Yorker in Boston. For those of you who are not from the North East, both cities have a long rivalry going on since there were only 13 colonies. Therefore, Wahlberg will still have to be a Yankees fan who hates the Patriots.
Boston Blue will debut next season.

On December 13th, we are going to say goodbye to the Reagans on Blue Bloods. There is one question many of us have wondered about, and now we have an answer.
It is not how the show will end but what is going to happen to the Reagan table that has been the centerpiece of the series since the pilot.
Donnie Wahlberg told People, “I really had no intention of taking anything from the set until I learned that that table and chairs was just sitting in a warehouse somewhere.”
So is the actor going to keep it in a warehouse somewhere too? He is going to have it travel around the different Wahlburgers, his family’s hamburger restaurants. “I’ll set it up where fans can sit at the table and take pictures,” he says. “And then I’m going to raffle it probably for charity for the DEA, the Detectives Endowment Association, for the Widows and Children’s Fund.”
Not only did he play a detective on television for 14 years, but he plans on supporting them even after the final credits role.

Donnie Wahlberg is not defying gravity |

Donnie Wahlberg is so happy to be back in LA to celebrate the holidays that he is jumping for joy. The only problem he had is that he doesn’t have the right stuff to stick the landing. Don’t worry; he is still hanging tough after falling down! I give him 5, one point for each member of New Kids on the Block.
