Despite making the long haul from Los Angeles to hawk Hestia boulder holders, the Desperate Housewives star went without one herself, leaving the product placement to two "support’’ players, who lounged about in their underwear on the rooftop of the Park Hyatt hotel. Wearing a strappy lace micro mini dress, Sheridan was the effervescent guest of honour at a lunch for Sydney’s leading women, hooking into the champers as her birthday celebrations kicked on for a third day. Sheridan told Confidential she beat the heat on Wednesday with a dip in Sydney Harbour, after her lingerie bosses hired her a luxury boat as a surprise present. "They’ve been spoiling me rotten and I love them for it,’’ she gushed. Meanwhile, she said her beau Michael Bolton had to cancel his plans to join her, instead hitting the promo trail in London where his new CD has proved quite the hit.

Hollywood is going to the dogs this weekend and Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan will be dining on pooch food to launch the new California incentive. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared Saturday "Dine With Your Dog Day," and he has teamed up with actor Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance dog food company Natural Balance in the hope of showing dog lovers how delicious pet chow can be. Sheridan will launch the bizarre statewide day on Thursday at the Hyatt Regency hotel by dining with her dog Oliver at a celebrity event, which will also be attended by fellow dog lovers including Linda Blair and Annabeth Gish. "Dine With Your Dog Day" spokesman Daniel Bernstein says, "It’s a fun initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for state animal charities like Linda Blair’s animal rescue group. The stars won’t actually be eating dog food. Natural Balance’s meals are like stew."

‘Desperate Housewives’ stars Eva Longoria and Nicolette Sheridan have reportedly had a furious bust-up over a handbag. The pair are said to have argued after Nicolette – who plays maneater Edie Britt in the hit series – wanted a designer bag created for Eva’s character Gabrielle Solis. Designer Charlie Lapson, who created the burgundy leather tote, says the fighting got so unbearable her was forced to create a different bag to keep the two actresses happy. He told Britain’s Mail On Sunday newspaper: "Both the girls wanted the bag for this one scene. They argued and argued until I decided to design a new bag for Eva." The handbag which caused such a fuss was auctioned for charity last week.
