Nick Cannon was a guest on Howard Stern today and he admitted that Mariah Carey and him did not have sex until they got married. The America’s Got Talent host even admitted the most did before they tied the knot on April 30, 2008 was go to second base over her top. So for all of us who wondered why they got married after only dating for just 6 weeks, I think we now have our answer! And 4 and half years later they are still going strong with awwwwdorable twins to boot!
Yesterday was the season finale for America’s Got Talent and Nick Cannon celebrated the end of the season by getting a tooth pulled this morning. Maybe it is me, but I could think of better ways of celebrating the end of the season. Although I am sure some days of production were like pulling teeth, so it was his way remembering working with Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne this year for a few more days.
Nick Cannon started the New Year in the hospital dealing with mild kidney failure and today he talked about it on his first day back at his radio show. After about ten minutes of describing his illness it doesn’t sound like he really knows what happened. He says that he eats healthy and works out and never gets sick because he hates going to the doctor. Then he went to Aspen for the holiday and at first he thought he was having Acute Mountain Sickness due to the higher altitude there. When he go to Colorado he says that at first Dem Babies got sick and then his wife also got the bug. So he spent the next four days taking care of them, getting no sleep, going to the gym four to five times a day and taking cold medicines to avoid getting sick too. Then two days before New Year’s he felt a pain in is back and his wife said you need to get over your fear of going to the doctor and go. He ignored her request until it got so bad that he was laid out on the floor. So she called the doctor and they thought he had kidney stones. That was not the case and doctors were trying to find out what was wrong with him but they did find out he had mild kidney failure. After days of testings, they still don’t what happened but whatever it was it is under control. As long as he doesn’t overdo it and that is something he is trying to do now as he continues to be on the road to recovery.
I have a feeling that after all of this, that next year Mariah Carey and Dem Babies won’t be spending Christmas in Aspen again. They will probably go somewhere much warmer and a place that is on a much lower altitude.
Nick Cannon is in the hospital and Mariah Carey broke the news. She Tweeted the above picture and said, “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman” It is unknown how severe it is or what caused it, but hopefully he will be better soon. He needs to get well ASAP so he can do all that he does, you know his radio show, running TeenNick, hosting America’s Got Talent, being Mr Mariah Carey and father to Dem Babies.

This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.
We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.
We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.
UPDATE 2: Nick Cannon Tweeted an update, “Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me… I will be a’ight” I am sure he will be, so he better do it soon.
Nick Cannon Tweeted some new pictures of Dem Babies and I think his 6 month old son Moroccan Scott is the snazziest dresser under 2. Seriously can’t the little boy Roc any look his parents give him. Whether it is dressed to the nines in a suit or as a rapper, he is the best dressed little dude out there. I don’t think any celebrity baby will be able to top this little cutie and that includes his twin sister Monroe!
