Netflix’s Closed Captioning totally gets it!
March 28th, 2016 under Netflix. [ Comments: 1 ]

How many times have you watched something with a sex scene while the Closed Captioning was on, and the transcribers didn’t know what to write? Well the people that Netflix hired to do it, knew exactly what to do during a very intimate scene between two women. They captioned it, “Lesbianing.” Then when they getting even hotter, they wrote, “Lesbianing intensifies.” What more does a person need to know?
You know what I want to know, what do they call it when two men go at it? I guess I will just have to watch Queer as Folk on the streaming service again to find out. It’s a sacrifice, but one I am willing to make.

Melissa McCarthy wasn’t asked to be in the Gilmore Girls revival
February 2nd, 2016 under Melissa McCarthy, Netflix, Revivals-Reboots. [ Comments: 5 ]

Last week, Netflix confirmed that they are bringing back Gilmore Girls for four more episodes. They also announced that Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Scott Gunn, and Keiko Agena will all be back, but what about the show’s most famous star Melissa McCarthy? Today, the lovable movie star and Emmy winner took to Twitter to answer if she is going to revisit Stars Hollow, and you are not going to like what she has to say. She said no one has asked her to put on Sookie’s apron again. I don’t know what the producers are thinking because she was my favorite person on the beloved drama. Without her, it just won’t be the same.
What do you think of her not being asked back?

Pee-wee’s Big Holiday teaser will make you smile!
January 19th, 2016 under Netflix, Pee Wee Herman. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I personally forgot that Netflix is doing a Pee-wee Herman movie. Well, good things come to those who wait because they just released the first look at Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday and March 18th can’t come soon enough.
Seriously, didn’t these :40 seconds just bring a smile to your face? I know it turned my frown upside down!
It’s like the wholesome movie we’ve all been waiting for, is finally here. A whole new generation will be introduced Pee-wee Herman and that is a very good thing. Heck, if it does really well, then maybe they will bring back his show too. Then the word of the day will be, “awesome!”

Are you getting down with The Get Down’s trailer?
January 6th, 2016 under Baz Luhrmann, Netflix. [ Comments: 3 ]

The first trailer is out for Netflix’s The Get Down, and no one does period pieces like Baz Luhrmann. The way he makes The Bronx look in the late ’70s is just beautiful. I just wish I was around my hometown then to experience the world he created for this series.

A Very Murray Christmas will put you in a very Murray mood!!!
December 4th, 2015 under Bill Murray, Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q36IQDYDkc
A Very Murray Christmas is the holiday special you have been waiting for your whole life, you just didn’t know it until now. Thankfully, Netflix made it a reality and we can watch it every Christmas from now on.
The premise of the special is that Bill Murray is going to do a live Christmas show, but there is a really bad snow storm in NYC and no one is able to show up. Now he has to do show with no celebrities and he doesn’t want to do it with them. Luckily, he runs into Chris Rock and gets him to appear on the show even though he doesn’t want to do it either. Thankfully for both of them, the power goes out on the whole Eastern Seaboard and the show is cancelled.
But wait, does A Very Murray Christmas end there? No, since he is trapped in the hotel, he is going to explore it. Along the way, he will meet several of the employees, tourists and people having an event at The Carlyle Hotel. As he comes across them, they will sing Christmas Carols together and cheer will come to all with each song. It will be a Very Murray Christmas for all especially for Bill who gets so drunk he has a fantasy that includes Miley Cyrus and George Clooney because we all fantasize about them.
The cheerful special is directed by Sofia Coppola and stars Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Michael Cera, David Johansen, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis and Rashida Jones. Almost all of them angelic voice that will bring a whole new enjoyment to several of those Christmas songs we have been singing our wholes live.
A Very Murray Christmas is not for kids, but us adults get to enjoy a Christmas special that is our own. We need more of them!
