Let’s be honest; when you heard about Christian Grey’s red room, you wanted one for your house.
Before there was Fifty Shades of Grey, there was Melanie Rose, and she has been giving couples sex rooms since before the book came out.
Netflix was so interested in what she does that they gave her own show, How to Build a Sex Room. In the 8 episodes that began streaming today, she will redesign the rooms of straight couples, gay couples, a single woman, and a polyamory family of seven.
Some of them are really into the kinky, while others are more conservative but want to bring the sex back into their marriages or reignite their passion. And then there is the family who just wants a room big enough for a bed, all seven of them to enjoy.
Rose does not only do rooms in houses; she actually reworks a van for one couple and makes a few sunrooms oases for lovemaking,
In order to create the perfect room with her contractor Mike, she likes to get to know the people whose rooms she is designing. Not only does she talk to them, but she takes them to sex shops and gets them lessons, so they know how to use their new toys. That means we also get to learn a thing or two.
Rose also doesn’t get all of her supplies at adult bookstores. So, imagine when she goes into a cattle store to buy some items for one of her couples who live on a farm. The salesman’s face is priceless.
Each episode features at least two clients and one room reveal. So, it doesn’t go by your typical episode constraints. Rose can start with one couple in one episode, and we see the finished product in a different episode. Because they work outside the format, it makes the show much easier to Netflix and Chill in one sitting.
And you are going to want to Netflix and Chill this show with your lover. Then when you are done binging, you will be running to the local naughty bookstore to get some of the things featured in the series. I am not going to tell you what I bought, but I will tell you I love it as much as How to Build a Sex Room.
The most powerful scene this season on Stranger Things is when Max (Sadie Sink) is saved from Vecna’s Mind Lair by the song Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush.
Today when the actress was on Today, Justin Sylvester (finally) asked her what song would she use to get herself out of Vecna’s clutch. Sink first said August by Taylor Swift (?) and then followed it up with Daft Punk’s Instant Crush.
It took me a week to discover which song would be mine. So I came up with three: It’s Take Two by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock, Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice, and Meat Loaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light. However, the first few bars of Corey Hart’s Sunglasses at Night could distract me too.
Netflix released the trailer for the star-studded Amsterdam. And it truly is star-studded. The film stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldaña, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, Taylor Swift, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, Rami Malek, and Robert De Niro.
Are those names enough to make you see the film in November?
So you know how Christain Grey had a sex room in Fifty Shades of Grey? Well, he is not alone, and interior designer Melanie Rose is designing the rooms for lovers.
On July 8th, we will see some of the naughty boudoirs that she had created for amorous couples in Netflix’s How to Build a Sex Room.
I cannot wait to see what Rose comes up with because I know I would want a house full of them.
Imagine a safe room where your kids cannot accidentally walk in on you, making them siblings. Or now that they are out of the house, why not convert their bedroom into one of pleasure. Or just a room to change it up. I mean, how nice would it be to have a place where you can live out your sexual fantasies? Do you know how many marriages could be saved if there was an oasis in the home they could use to spice up lovemaking? The uses are endless, just like their nights of passion.
Seriously, who else is excited to Netflix & Chill with this design series? I know I am going to get the candles, sex toys and lube ready to binge the show and my special someone. Oh, wait, I don’t have a special someone. I wonder if she designs sex rooms for singles to love themselves? I could use a change of scenery.
Netflix released a teaser for the second part of season 4 of Stranger Things, and wow. I don’t know what to make of it. But that is how you have to watch the show. You don’t know what is going to happen next, but you know you need to know.
And when it comes to the teaser, they heard that we liked Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill, so they made sure to include it in the promo. However, did they not hear that we love Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) and needed more of him in this video. The old kids are so seasons 1-3. Eddie is all seasons 4 and 5.
Hopefully, we will get a lot more Eddie when the final 2 episodes for this season drop on July 1st.
