Seriously? OMG! WTF?

NBC is still deciding on the fate for a few of their show and AP Bio is no longer one of them. The show’s creator’s Mike O’Brien broke the sad news, “I’m intensely sad to announce that AP Bio will be ending after this season. This has been my favorite project of my life and that’s because of the amazing writers, cast and crew. As most canceled shows probably feel, I think we were just hitting our stride and everyone was still loving the work, so this is very hard. We have 4 left to air and they’re 4 of my favorites. Plus 22 others are on Hulu (for now) and http://nbc.com. Please check them out and tell a friend about the show and tell the people who worked on it that they did a good job!”

Ever since his tweet, #SaveAPBio has been trending on Twitter. Hopefully, someone will save the show, but I doubt it. Its ratings were more remedial than advanced placement. Then again, it would be nice to see it on FX where it could be a little more risque.

The Village (I hope they pick it up), Abby’s and Emeny Within are still waiting to find out if they will be back or not.

NBC announced its schedule for next season and they have another strong year ahead of them. I think Perfect Harmony will be my favorite new show.

We found out why they took so long to renew This Is Us. That is because they are giving it three more seasons. The three more Dan Fogleman wanted to finish out the plan for his beloved drama.

While a lot is staying the same, Will & Grace moves to midseason. I think they are keeping it to pair it with Kenan Thompson’s new show. Which will be a good pairing.

Manifest is also coming back later on in the season along with the final season of Blindspot. Another change for NBC is that they are bringing back Little Big Shots with Melissa McCarthy who replaces Steve Harvey.

Finally, NBC has not made any decisions about Abby’s, A.P. Bio, The Enemy Within, The InBetween, The Titan Games and The Village. Which gives me hope that maybe they will bring back The Villiage for another season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has pulled Blindspot until after May Sweeps which means, NBC is no longer taking a blindspot to the show’s dismal ratings. It also means that when the show wraps its season on May 31st, those will likely be the last new episodes we will ever see for the show. As sad as Jaimie Alexander will be about the cancellation, I am sure her bones are very happy about it. She has more broken bones since the show started than the senior class at small-town high school.

Will you be sad if this show gets cancelled?

Even though Manifest started out with ratings that were sky high, those numbers quickly dropped along with the show’s creativity in my opinion. Therefore, it is kind of surprising that NBC picked up the show for a second season when they have so many other stronger shows that were already picked up.

Manifest joins The Blacklist, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Good Girls, The Good Place, Law & Order: SVU, New Amsterdam, Superstore and Will & Grace on the 2019-2020 schedule. Missing from that list is This Is Us, but I am sure it will be back for a fourth season. If not, then fans of the show will send NBC execs on a 5-year plane ride.

Yesterday CBS announced that they renwed NCIS for a 17th season and today they asked Blue Bloods for a 10th one. Something that was a no-brainer after Tom Selleck signed on the dotted line.

Even though the cop family drama airs on Friday nights, it is the 8th most-watched show on broadcast TV. It used to be television’s death night until this Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg show.

Personally, I have not enjoyed this season as much as years past. I hope they get back to doing what they did best instead of making the Reagans look as dickish as possible until the final seconds of the episode.

UPDATE: NBC also picked up Good Girls for a third season. A surprising move because it is not doing that well in the ratings. Which is sad because it is a really good, female-empowering show that stars Christina Hendricks, Mae Whitman and Retta. Check it on Sundays at 10p. Especially now that you know it will be back for another year.
