NBC announced today that they ordered 6 more scripts from Medium according to Reuters. I am surprised that they are doing that this late in the season, but I am not complaining! Last week's episode was one of the best in the show's history, so I am glad that NBC still believes in Medium. Now if only they would move it back to Mondays at 10p, they might actually have a show that goes with Heroes because I bet you a dollar that Wedding Crashers will crash faster than Peter did when the Invisible Hero threw him off the roof…but I digress. Now back to Medium, David Arquette directs his sister, Patricia Arquette on Wednesday's episode so it will be interesting to how that turns out! And here's to hoping NBC gives it a fourth season!
According to Variety, The Black Donnellys last episode aired on Monday and will not be back on TV. Instead the network will air a double helping of Thank G-D You're Here. But if you were a fan of The Black Donnellys, Variety is reporting that the final six episodes will stream online. Thank G-d for the net streaming canceled shows online so at least we get some closure.
NBC announced today that The Real Wedding Crashers will replace The Black Donnellys on April 23rd. The reality show produced by Ashton Kutcher will premiere on Monday, April 23 at 10p after the return (finally) of Heroes. NBC did not announce where and when TBD will return. But considering how badly the show is doing in the ratings it probably will only be seen online. The other sad news is there was a rumor that if TBD did about the same in the ratings as Studio 60 that Studio 60 would return to it's old timeslot. Well with The Real Wedding Crashers landing that timeslot, I think we can expect Studio 60 to wind up online too. Unless by some miracle NBC moves it to another night, but I won't hold my breath. Sunday does have some openings, so maybe it will go there?
Personally I think Kevin Reilly will have another failure on hands, but hey he is used to it because all the new shows except for Heroes bombed in the ratings. But yet he kept his personal favorites Friday Night Lights and 30 Rock on the air. I like Friday Night Lights, but that show does really bad in the ratings. There is always next year for him or the year after that…sadly.
October Road premieres on ABC tonight at 10p. I am not really sure what it is about, but all I do know is I am looking forward to it.
Now when it comes to Raines that is premiering on NBC at 10p it sounds a lot like a male version of Medium. I am going to DVR the show, but I doubt I will watch it past tonight. I am not a Jeff Goldblum fan and since the show had it’s order cut I feel why waste my time on something that won’t last.
