Greg Laswell Just Wants to Have Fun!
May 31st, 2010 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

So I was watching My Sister’s Keeper today and in it I heard Greg Laswell’s version of Girls Just Want to Have Fun. The song left so much of an impression on me that I had to share it with you. You know on American Idol when the judges tell the contestants that they want them to change up the songs? I think this is exactly what they had in mind.
Seriously didn’t he do an amazing job of making the song his own. I have heard Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time and True Colors reinterpreted, but I never heard any of her songs redone as well as this one. Hopefully this song will touch you as much as it touched me. This song sincerely blew me away and that is very rare these days.

Willie Nelson got a haircut
May 26th, 2010 under Music, Willie Nelson. [ Comments: none ]

For the first time in a really long time we are seeing Willie Nelson without his long braids. The 76 year old singer’s rep told the AP that he cut them in the past few week because his long hair was a lot of maintenance. I don’t know about you, but I find it so weird to see him without the braids. It just doesn’t look like him, he looks the same but different.
I wonder if he did it because he realized with less hair to maintain, the more hemp shampoo for him to enjoy?

Brad Paisley hospitalized after a stage fall
March 7th, 2010 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

Brad Paisley was injured yesterday after he took a nasty fall while performing the last song at his last show in Charleston, SC. After he took the stage dive and ended his show, he was taken to the hospital and Brad Paisley Tweeted about it.

Tnx4 prayers, after my fall,I was just discharged from the hospital.Just very very bruised. Nothing broken, had a ct scan all is okay!
Here’s the fine staff and myself in the ER of M U S C hospital.

And here, consulting the doctors. They said I was a very brave boy.

Allright, whoever posts the YouTube footage of it gets a meet and greet. I have got to see it. I hit hard. And I mean freaking hard.
If ur wondering,it was the last song&last night of the tour&I was running fast on stage, tripped.really did think I broke a rib or something.
Charleston rocked though. Out with a bang for the ASN tour.literally. Bring on the H2O. Actually, the frozen stuff’s on me right now.
Man am I sore today. You guys should see the bruise.

Thankfully he is OK because that stage dive looked like it hurt. What a way to end the tour, at least he went out with a bang…literally!
BTW no word if the person’s who YouTube video I posted will get a meet and greet with him as he promised, but they should!

Mini Daddy aka Adriansito is the youngest rapper to come out of Mexico so far! After watching that video, I don’t know what the heck to make of it, but it was too cute not to share with you!
I can’t believe those little girls’ parents let them do the music video in those outfits. Boy do I sound so old saying that. Oy, how can they let their kids dress like that? What’s the matter with kids today? Shady Pines!

Carly Simon is asking her fans to make a music video for her biggest song You’re So Vain. Believe it or not she has never shot a music video for the 1972 classic that has everyone wondering who it is about. So now you have your chance to make who you want it to be about or just what you the song means to you. The winner of the contest will have their music video shown at the Tribeca Film Festival, featured on AOL music and you will meet the songstress herself and she will give her something from her personal archives! If you want to enter, you have until April 15th to submit your music video. Heck I might even enter the contest! Anyone know where Warren Beatty and Mick Jagger are hanging out these days?
