Get Lost all over again and again!
August 25th, 2010 under Lost. [ Comments: 1 ]

Lost is lost from our airwaves, but it doesn’t mean it has to be lost from our TVs. You can experience the whole show or just the last season on DVD and Blu-ray with a whole bunch of special features that any Lost fan (including ones like me who hated the finale) will enjoy from now until we figure out what the island was all about…which means forever.
Here is what you get with the two Lost collections that are available for you to own:

LOST: THE COMPLETE SIXTH AND FINAL SEASON – Contents
• Every Sixth Season Episode
• Bloopers and Deleted Scenes
• Audio Commentaries accompany four episodes (LA X, Dr. Linus, Ab Aeterno and Across The Sea)
• The End: Crafting A Final Season – Join the LOST team along with other producers of some of
television’s longest running shows as they examine the challenges of ending a landmark series.
• A Hero’s Journey – What makes a hero? Which survivors of Oceanic 815 are true heroes? These
questions and more are explored.
• See You In Another Life, Brotha – Unlocks the mysteries of this season’s intriguing flash sideways.
• ‘LOST on Location’ – Behind-the-scenes featurette showcasing stories from the set, including all-new
interviews with actors and crew.
• PLUS: A LOST Blu-ray & DVD exclusive – Go deeper into the world of LOST with a much-anticipated
new chapter of the island’s story from Executive Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

LOST: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION – Contents
• Every Episode in the Series (Seasons 1 through 6)
• Over 30hrs of Season 1-6 Bonus materials (previously released materials from Season 1-5 and the all-new Season 6 bonus material)
• A unique series of featurettes that takes viewers on very personal tours of Oahu where the series was created, with key cast and crew as they reflect.
• Exploring the global phenomenon that is Lost, bonus showcases events ranging from the series cast and crew at San Diego’s famed Comic-Con convention to international voice recordings, local events and even fan parties, all of which helped make the show into a worldwide favorite.
• A closer look at some of the props with cast, writers and producers, exploring their significance, stories and emotional ties to the characters.
• Humorous yet emotional look at every character who died on the series
• 16 hilarious Lost “Slapdowns” featurettes showcasing celebrity Lost fans who confront Executive Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse to ask press questions about the final season, including the Muppets and cast members Nestor Carbonell, Michael Emerson, Rebecca Mader and more.
•The exciting collectible packaging also includes: a Special Edition collectible ‘Senet’ Game as seen in Season Six, a custom LOST island replica, an exclusive episode guide, a collectible Ankh, and a black light penlight.

I got the Lost: The Complete Sixth and Final season and let me tell you all the special features on it make this is a must own.
The most anticipated feature is the new chapter with the New Man in Charge that stars Ben and Hurley. We will get a few answers about the island in it, but in typical Lost fashion it will end with a question. Hey Dalton why not pitch how you ended it is as spinoff, I know I would watch it.
Also included is a featurette documenting the final season from the beginning until the end. It is told by the cast and crew, and there are several touching moments and also a few insights about the show and the season that explain why they ended the show the way they did. In that The End we get to see the lead actors shoot their finals scenes, which is sad and sweet at the same time. There is another featurette talking about the sideways and how the cast felt about their characters on the other side. The producers explain the reason why they went with the sideways storyline and why the characters became the way they were in the alternate universe! Besides getting a look at the actors, we get an in-depth look at the biggest characters on the shows and that is the locations. It is really cool to see where and how they recreated certain parts of the island and sideways. From the underwater scenes to the temple, it will really blow you away how it was all done.
But the best reason to own the collection is because who doesn’t want to watch the amazing final over and over again. I still have not had the desire to rewatch the finale to see if I can get a few more clues about what the show was all about, but I know when I do get the temptation I can put it on and not have to worry about commercials breaking up the suspense!
Both DVD and Blu-ray collections are a must own for any Lost fan, so why not buy it for that special Lost person in your life!

Jimmy Kimmel is like the Smoke Monster and evil!
August 16th, 2010 under Jimmy Kimmel, Lost. [ Comments: none ]

Oh wait or was the Smoke Monster good and Jacob was bad, we never did get that answer did we… On that note Jimmy Kimmel Tweeted this picture of him making out with the Lost: The Complete Collection that he got a week before everyone else and he rubbed it in our faces. The talk show host said, “just got the new Lost box set – see you in 8 months” After seeing him get all kissy like that with the most wanted DVD box set of the year, I think it is going to take me 8 months to want to watch him again. It is like rubbing salt in the wound for those of who are anxiously awaiting our copy of it. The Blu-ray box set includes the highly anticipated The New Man in Charge which chronicles the life that Hurley and his #2 Ben lead after they took over protecting the Island and I have been waiting to see it since I heard aabout it.
Well at least these bloopers from the 6th season made me feel a little better, not much but a little.

Memories on Hurley by Weezer!
August 10th, 2010 under Lost, Weezer. [ Comments: none ]

Last week Weezer announced that their next album Hurley would be out on September 14th. Yesterday they revealed the cover of the CD and it had Lost’s Hurley aka Jorge Garcia on the cover. Today they released the first single Memories from Hurley and I can’t wait until next month so I can get it! Seriously doesn’t that song stuck in your head like a good memory?
Rives Cuomo told Spinner magazine why he chose that picture of Jorge Garcia for the cover of Weezer’s upcoming CD, “I was coming up with all kinds of stuff, but ultimately, we just went with some random word that doesn’t really have anything to do with anything. I just loved this photo of Jorge Garcia — it just had this amazing vibe. We didn’t want to do a fourth self-titled record and we knew people would refer to it as ‘the Hurley record’ even if we left it without that title, so we just called it ‘Hurley.’ No words are on the cover because all we wanted was his amazing face.” Who doesn’t love that face? And who doesn’t love this picture of Rivers with Jorge in Spinner magazine!

BTWF roles: Jeff Fahey in One Life to Live
July 23rd, 2010 under Before They Were Famous, Lost. [ Comments: 1 ]

(starts at :50 in)

Before Jeff Fahey biggest problem was trying to get off the island on Lost, he was trying not to get fired on One Life to Live. If it wasn’t for his voice, I never would have know that that 31 year old actor on that soap in 1984 is the same guy we know today. OMG how f*cking hot was he back then? Not that he still isn’t good looking now, but he was so doable back then!!!

Can someone please help this Lost fan?
July 12th, 2010 under Lost. [ Comments: none ]

Lost executive producer Damon Lindelof Tweeted this picture of a fan who is still not ready to say goodbye to Lost! The only reason why I would want to get back to the Island is to find what the f*ck that part of Lost was all about. Almost two months later, and I am still pissed at the end of the show. Maybe someday I will go to a Lost convention and Darlton will finally reveal what the island was all about, but until then I will remain extremely bitter.
Now when it comes to the fan, that costume was bloody brilliant!
Namaste!!!
