When you picture a rock star, you picture him effortlessly walking down the steps of a private jet in an opened button-down shirt that is tucked in his clean dirty-looking jeans covering his cowboy boots. Since his future is so bright, he is going to wear shades whether it is daytime or nighttime. His hair, pulled back because he was resting on the plane before he embarks on the madness he is about to experience.
That is exactly what Lenny Kravitz looks like here in this photo as he takes his first steps out for his Raise Vibration tour. Since the American man is even cooler than we imagine, his loyal dog is by his side with no intentions of leaving it.
Even if Kravitz wasn’t a singer, he would still look like one. Since he is one, he is what the future musicians want to be. And we enjoy staring at all day long as we listen to his music.
Remember when your parents threw you a party for your 10th birthday? It was at something like a bowling alley, an ice skating rink, a movie theater or a kid friendly restaurant. Well if your parents are Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz, then you are not going to have that normal party that you and I had. Zoe told her mom that she wanted to get her ears pierced when she was about 10, so The Cosby Show star threw her daughter a piercing party. You need a good piercer for the party, so her dad flew in a bald headed, tattooed lady friend to do the deed. When it was time for Zoe to get her first piercing, she wimped out. But her mom and her mom’s friends didn’t and got several of their body pierced. And all my mom got at my 10th birthday party was headache was from all of my screaming friends.
That wasn’t the only cool story from her childhood that she shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. She also told the ABC late night host about the time she woke up to Ashton Kutcher making an omlette in dad’s kitchen when she was about 15. She gets Ashton and we woke up to our pop’s fat balding male friend making an overflowing bowl of cereal and us having nothing left to eat. Or maybe that was just my house.
Lenny Kravitz always comes off as very subdued, but Funny or Die caught him as anything but. In fact the singer seems to have some major anger issues.
Actually it is just a joke video, he is not really that angry. At least I assume that he is not.
You know the real reason I posted this interview is that I love to see his comedic side come out. I am sure that is something he got from his very talented mother Roxie Roker who you guys knows a Helen Willis on The Jeffersons.
Who knew that Lenny Kravitz wanted to be the next Wayne Brady, but after watching the music video for Stand I think if he ever gave up music his next career goal would be to host Let’s Make a Deal. And you know what he would be great at it, as long as he goes back to his old hairstyle! But I don’t think he will be giving up the music scene any time soon because that song and that video will have him topping the charts once again. I can’t wait to buy Black and White America when it comes out on August 30th.
Sometimes I forget that his father was a Hollywood producer and his mother was Roxie Roker, who played Helen Willis on The Jeffersons, but it is things like this that remind of the good genes he comes from.
