We are still over three months away from Christmas, but Hallmark Channel is getting us into the spirit now. That is because today they announced that they are doing 40 movies this year. Starting on October 25th, we begin the 10th annual Countdown to Christmas event that will air on both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Who needs Halloween candy when we will be getting some sweet holiday movies before the holiday.
This year’s star-studded lineup of stars (that don’t go on top of the Christmas tree) include Donna Mills, Jodie Sweeten, Kellie Pickler, Patrick Duffy, Cameron Mathison, Priscilla Pressley, Grant Show, Candace Cameron, Lacey Chabert, Niall Matter, Dolly Parton, Scott Wolf, Holly Robinson, Trevor Donovan, Jack Wagner, Kathie Lee Gifford, Jesse Metcalfe and Patti LaBelle to name a few. Not only that, Blake Shelton, that drunk guy from The Voice, is producing a movie for them. Yeehaw!
Andrew Walker and Jill Wagner host a special previewing the telemovies that will bring us plenty of joy this season. To get a sneak peek of the films click play. To see when they will air on what channel and who is in them, then click here!
Corbin Bersen has gone from in front of the camera to behind it so he could write and direct Christian Mingle the Movie starring Lacey Chabert. I have a lot of faith that this romantic comedy will be sweet and enjoyable to watch from beginning to end. So why not sign up to see it when it comes out in October? I’ll be there!
Tonight at 8p Matchmaker Santa debuts on the Hallmark Channel at 8p and you don’t want to miss this sweet movie.
When Melanie Hogan (Lacey Chabert) was a little girl she asked Santa to bring her her perfect match, so that she can have a relationship just like parents. Well now Melanie is a woman, owns a bakery and is dating a guy she is not sure is the one. When Justin (Thad Luckinbill) asks her to meet his mom over Christmas at his upstate lake house, she thinks that he is ready to take their relationship to the next level. Only problem is the CEO invited her because he is making this a work Christmas.
On the way up to Justin’s she sits next to an older man on the plane that looks a lot like Santa, and they form a quick friendship. When she gets off the plane, Justin’s assistant Dean (Adam Mayfield) is there to pick her up and not her boyfriend who stayed back at his mom’s. The two of them offer to take the old man, who goes by Chris (Donovan Scott), to his destination. When they get there, Dean’s car breaks down and now they are stuck there with no way to get to Justin’s. So now that Melanie and Dean are alone together they realize they are much better matched than she is with Justin, but is that enough to get them together? You will have to tune into this movie that is as delightful as visions of sugar plums dancing in your head!
