Lacey Chabert is starring in the European adventure Paris Is Always A Good Idea on Hallmark+, and the series is stunning as the locations where it is filmed.
Ten years ago, Chelsea (Chabert) traveled to Ireland, France, and Spain, and she found love in all three countries. However, they all ended when she moved on, and her heart remains broken to this day.
As much as her heart was broken then, it was not as bad as when her mom passed away shortly afterward. Her mom’s final wish was for her, her sister Annabelle (Rebecca Hanssen), and her father Glenn (Henry Czerny) to go to Paris and take part in a scavenger hunt she created for them to do. Chelsea was not ready to do it back then, and she is still not.
That was then; now she is a successful businesswoman who works for a nonprofit that raises money for cancer research. She is a workaholic who never has any fun because she is still trying to get over her broken heart.
She might finally be able to get some solace from that heartache when she is forced to go back to Paris to meet with a donor for her charity. She doesn’t want to go, but she knows she needs to to keep her job.
When she tells her family that she is going to Paris, they tell her they will join her so she does not have to do it alone.
They are not the only ones who will be there to help. Jason (Scott Michael Foster), her co-worker and rival, is sent there to be the closer.
As soon as she sees him, she is not happy, but that is not the only reason why.
Her sister brought the scavenger hunt items with her because she and her dad did not do any of the challenges when Chelsea dropped out.
Since she knows how important this is for her family, she decides she is ready to do it with them.
Her mom’s mission for her is to see if any of the three men she left behind were the one who got away. So, she decides to look for them to find out if any of them were the one.
What will she find out on her journey? That is what we will find out in each new episode, which is filmed on location.
Paris Is Always A Good Idea is a 6-episode fairy tale with the princess searching for the potential prince she left behind. Because of that, you want to follow her journey because you are hoping she will get her happy ending with the man that is perfect for her. No matter which one it turns out to be.
Who doesn’t love a story like that? And especially one that is filmed in lands where real royalty exists?
And one that stars Hallmark’s darling, Chabert. She is as engaging as always, and she has a cast that supports her brilliantly in this beautiful romantic adventure.

The Romantic Drama, which is based on the novel by Jenn McKinlay, is expected to air later this year on the streamer.

The actress announced that next Christmas season, she will star in Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, which will be filmed at Disney World. That is the first time the two have collaborated on a movie.

The telemovie follows Lindsey (Chabert) and her extended family head to Walt Disney World to spend a magical Christmas together. But the dream of a jolly holiday gets quickly dashed when Lindsey discovers her room is next door to Philip (Travis Van Winkle), a disastrous first date she recently had, who’s also there on a family trip. As Lindsey and Philip’s paths cross throughout their stay, the frost starts to thaw as they learn they’re not so different from each other after all. Thanks to some Walt Disney World magic, the holiday wish Lindsey made in Cinderella Fountain just might turn their rivalry into romance.
Chabert and Van Winkle will be joined at the Happiest Place on Earth by Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Bryce Durfee, Taegen Burns, Asher Alexander, and Patrick Renna.
This will be just one of the many films that will be part of Countdown to Christmas. But I have a feeling it will also be the most memorable one in 2026.
