Back when Kelly Ripa was in high school, she was a cheerleader. Well her kids are now in high school, so does she still remember how to twirl a baton? Today on Live with Kelly, she dressed up as a Majorette and showed us that she can still do it. Now, her husband, Mark Consuelos, wants her to eat a salad for dinner and try that trick out on his baton.
Now that the whole Michael Strahan scandal is last week’s news, Live with Kelly needs a new way to get people to talk about the talk show. Today, Kelly Ripa licked a pussy. Wait that is not safe for morning TV? It is when she is a using a fake tongue called the Licki Brush on an animated stuffed kitty. Did it work? Are you talking about the show?
Now when it comes to the Licki Brush, my cat thinks that it is for the dogs. Like if I bought one, I will wish I had a dog to protect me from her. Who would buy that for their feline friend? Not me.
Talking about feline friends, I want that animated kitty for my cat. Actually, I want it for me and will pretend it’s for her.
And when it comes to animated, I so think that Fred Savage will be the next co-host of Live. Don’t you?
Fred Savage was co-hosting Live with Kelly today and he shared more than you wanted to know about him. The actor told Kelly Ripa that the hotel the show put him up in, is the same one that his wife and him made their first baby 10 years ago. If the story stopped there, then we would be OK bu
He went into detail about how his wife and him were having problem conceiving. They were using an ovulation stick that would tell you when it was time to have sex. When it said it was time to go, you had no choice but to do it right then and there. Only problem is they had a big meal and their stomachs looked like there were already 9 months pregnant. Because of that he doesn’t know how they made a baby. He also demonstrated how hard it was for them to connect.
But it gets worse. Ripa then admitted that her husband Mark Consuelos knows they are going to do it if she gets a salad. Anything else and they are just going to go to sleep. Savage said if his wife shaves her legs, then he thinks he will get lucky. He’s not always right about that.
I am going to have to binge watch The Wonder Years in order to get that image of Kevin Arnold out of my head. It is more than I needed to know about him, but it was endearing.
Although, as horrified as I am about hearing the details of how he made his first born, I think his son Oliver will be even more horrified when he watches this video on YouTube some day.
A few weeks ago, Michael Strahan announced that he was leaving Live with Kelly and Michael and his co-host took a few days off. The media went crazy with their theories why she did it, and now she broke her silence about it to People. She said, “I think what people need to understand about the entire situation is that I didn’t just not show up.” Then she added, “I said, in the room, ‘I am going to take the day off.’ I needed to actually sit and gather information. I needed to make sure I said the appropriate things on TV and didn’t just come out and say whatever.” Six days later, she was ready to return to work, and she spoke her mind then.
How does she feel about Strahan’s new job? She said, “I get it. We’re excited for Michael. He wanted that job, and it’s great for him. I think it is a perfect match, I really do.” But there is a but, “However, what nobody considered is there’s a whole other group of people that it really impacts, because we have to now find another great person.” You see Live is a family, and she says her co-workers were looking at her to make sure that they were going all be OK and still have a job.
When Kathie Lee Gifford left the show, it took them a while to find Kelly Ripa. Then when Regis Philbin left, it also took them a while to find Michael Strahan. Will their viewers wait for them to find another co-host and will they take them quickly? To make matters worse, there are rumors that ABC wants to add a third hour for Good Morning America, so what does that mean for the future for Live with Kelly and Who? Plus, there is more competition these days and what if the viewers find something else to watch during the transition period? There’s a lot riding on the show because of his decision, so you can understand why she reacted the way that she did. I didn’t until this interview and now I get it.
This wasn’t the only point that I liked that she brought up in this interview, she also took on her big bosses. She said, “I think that all people are deserving of fair treatment in the work place. People deserve respect People should be treated equally and with dignity.” Then she elaborated, “I think that requires a certain amount of empathy on a level. When you’re dealing with big business, it’s easy to forget that you’re dealing with people and that people have feelings. It’s easy to just look at it like a business unit, a unit, a unit.” Corporations quickly forget its employees who keep them functioning and they need to remember that. She took a big stand against the cold corporate world, and for that I will always respect her. Hopefully, other businesses heard her stance because too many forget that they need to treat their employees better. They make the company work, not the people who sit in boardrooms all day.

Things changed. Shortly after Kelly Ripa made her return to the show, it was revealed that her co-host would be not be staying until September. In fact, he is leaving a lot earlier because his last day is May 13th.
ABC released this statement to People about his much earlier departure:
After meeting with the producers of both Live! and Good Morning America, and after speaking with Kelly and Michael, we have decided on a plan that best advantages both shows for the future.”
To that end, Michael’s last day on Live! will be on Friday, May 13, which not only gives the show the chance to have a nice send-off for him during the May book, but to also immediately begin the on-air search for a new co-host.
This plan also allows GMA to start integrating Michael into the show more often this summer before his full-time start in September.
This is what they should’ve done in the first place. This makes total sense.
But let’s be honest, who thinks they are doing to test out co-anchors for her and start him on GMA early? We are all thinking that they are doing this because this was probably was one of the agreements that Ripa made with the head honchos at ABC to get her back on the show today.
When it comes to Strahan, I am sure he is doing a dance like the one above to celebrate that he is out of there in just over two weeks.
