I know it is a forgotten memory because it bombed so badly, but Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie did a movie together called The Tourist. Well since the movie and the actors got nominated at the Golden Globes (for some reason), Depp is still talking about the movie and he spoke about hanging out with his co-star and her babies’ daddy. Captain Jack Sparrow told The Sun, “We often went for dinner with them. It was great. I’ve known Brad since the end of the Eighties. It was great to see him as a man and amazing father.” He added: “Angie is a stunner, so is Vanessa. And Brad of course. When we all sat together I was the only ugly one. I’m not the spick-and-span kind of guy. To be honest, I don’t like cutting my hair or trimming my beard.” Even unkempt, he would still be the hottest one in the room to me. Ever since I first saw him in something, I have always thought he was just so gorgeous and even when he was trying to look like sh!t (or in his daily life as he puts it) I still see his beauty. I can’t say that about Pitt as much, not that I don’t find him striking…but he is no Johnny Depp to me.
BTW could you imagine if he felt that way, how everyone else in the room would feel they looked with those four sitting along side them.

The Tourist continues its world tour and this time Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp landed in Madrid to promote their Golden Globe nominated film. I bet these two can’t wait for the premiere to end because they look so uncomfortable together. It is like they are doing everything can not to be able to touch each other. They uncomfortableness is making me uncomfortable.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie have attended several premieres together for their Golden Globe nominated film The Tourist and up until now we have never seen the two of them pose together and now we know why. Seeing the body language they have towards each other, I know why the critics are saying there is no chemistry between them. Look at the way Captain Jack Sparrow is standing with his hands holding his opposite wrists like that, it is as though he wants to make sure that there is no way he will be touching her. I have a feeling that even though the film got several nominations yesterday, we won’t be seeing a sequel for it…at least not with those two starring in it together.
As if we needed any more reason to love Johnny Depp, well here is another one. Johnny Depp is filming Pirates of the Caribbean 4 in Greenwich, and he took time out his busy schedule to personally answer a 9 year old’s girl’s letter to him. Well according to Heat Magazine the letter was not written to him exactly but to Jack Sparrow asking him to help her organize a mutiny against the teachers.
A school office employee dropped the letter off with the film crew, but the letter was ignored at first. Somehow the letter reached Johnny’s hands and he went to her school with 4 of his pirates. Here is how the letter’s little author described what happened next, “Johnny Depp walked in dressed as Captain Jack,” explained wee Beatrice, “there were gasps and screams. He pulled my letter out of his pocket and said he was going to frame it. Then he called me down and gave me a hug.” Depp then spent another 15 minutes or so jigging about the school stage with his piratey pals for the school kids, “he said the pirates were going to take over the school and only eat candy and our teeth would turn black and fall out,” added Beatrice, “but he said we shouldn’t mutiny against the teachers because there were police outside and we might get in trouble.” Lucky kids!
Whoever says letter writing has jumped the plank, needs to read this story. So find some paper and a pen and send someone very special to you a letter because you never know who or what will come of it!!!
I can’t believe I am saying this about a movie with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie starring in it, but The Tourist looks like crap. Not only does the movie look bad, so do Angelina and Depp. How can two of the world’s most beautiful people look anything but? I have never see Depp look bad in any movie (including as Jack Sparrow) as he does in this movie.
After watching the trailer, I was left with the same feeling I had after I saw the one for Knight and Day and we all know how that movie did…it didn’t.
