Yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live, they aired the 7th Mean Tweets that included Oscar winners Julia Roberts, Gary Oldman and Matthew McConaughey, Oscar nominees June Squibb (who was the best one), Ethan Hawke, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia, Emmy winners Don Rickles, Courteney Cox and Jeremy Piven, Emmy loser Sofia Vergara and Razzie winner Ashton Kutcher. Each one of those stars read a mean Tweet about themselves and some handled it better than others. Gary Oldman laughed off his slam about his bad accents, while June Squibb told the person who told her to f*ck off, to f*ck off. The truest one was about David Blaine, because someone Tweeted “David Blaine looks like his voice is putting his face to sleep.” That Tweet was pure magic, just like this whole segment.

Over the weekend the internets blew up over an impromptu jam session in Irvington, Tx as three strangers collaborated to make one beautiful song together. Jesse Rya was playing his guitar outside a Kroger and he drew a small crowd. One of the men in the audience starting singing along and his addition made a great song even better. Then as the two of them were singing, another man who was walking into the supermarket joined in and added some rap to the song. They say three is a crowd, but in this case they make beautiful music together.
Shortly after this video was posted on YouTube, people started Tweeting Jimmy Kimmel and asking if the ABC late night host had something to do with it. He did not. But that didn’t stop him flying the man who shot the video and the three men in it out to Hollywood to recreate the magic. Kimmel didn’t stop with the original musicians, he joined in with his claronet, and so did the show’s band, Trey Songz, Juicy J and Aloe Blacc. So a fantastic moment was made even more amazing! And talking about amazing, how amazing are Guillermo’s moves? I so want to dance with him the next time I go to a JKL taping!

Is Godzilla real? |

Jimmy Kimmel Live likes to ask people on the street ridiculously false questions to see if they believe the interviewer. This time on Lie Witness News, they asked tourists on Hollywood Blvd “Considering Godzilla is based on a true story of the giant lizard attack on Tokyo that killed more than 100,000 people in 1954, do you think it is wrong that Hollywood glamorizes this?” Now we know that Titanic is based on an actual event, but who would ever think that Godzilla is based on one too? Sadly, there were enough people for the ABC late night show to air the segment. That is scarier than the recent blockbuster.
Make sure to watch this video all the way through, because one of the people featured in the segment was in the audience. Her reaction to when Kimmel asked her if Godzilla was real, is so perfect you don’t want to miss it.

Nathan Lane was on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he told the ABC late night host some stories about Mel Brooks. Back when the legendary funny man was working on Sid Caesar’s shows, he was more outrageous than he is now. One day Brooks went out with sketch writer Howard Morris, to eat lunch on a boat in Central Park. As they were eating their lunch, Mel took out a (fake) gun and told his co-worker to give him his wallet and watch. Morris did as Brooks said, and Mel paddled away telling Howard not to tell anyone. Three weeks went by and Brooks returned everything back to him and said he did it because he wanted to see if he could rob the nice guy. The two made up and then a week later after the two men were eating lunch, Brooks held up his buddy again in a dark alley.
Who knew besides stealing our hearts with all of his brilliant humor, Mel will also steal anything and everything you have. So if you ever run into him, make sure you have some protection. And I am not talking about the chastity belt that they used in Space Balls.
BTW since Jimmy Kimmel Live no longer posts the full interviews, you missed where Lane said that Brooks told him he is 15-20% gay! I love that line for some reason.

In the past Jimmy Kimmel Live has had parents torture their kids by pretending to eat all of their Halloween candy or giving them a crappy gift for Christmas, and his latest evil plan might be the one that leaves the biggest emotional scar. He sent someone out on to Hollywood Blvd to ask moms to tell him something she hasn’t told her kids. Some of the reveals from their past will leave a lot of kids needing therapy after they see this. Especially the girls that found out they were adopted. And that is just one of the secrets a mom shared with the ABC late night show that her child never wanted to hear. Imagine what some of the rest of them were…
