CBS announced today that they picked up The Talk for a 15th season. That is the good news. The bad news is that it will be its final season.
“It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood, our executive producer/showrunner Rob Crabbe and the hardworking producing team and crew. We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons,” Amy Reisenbach, President, CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, President, CBS Studios said in a statement. We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day. And of course, we thank the numerous guests who appeared, and the millions of viewers who tuned in daily. For the final season, we plan to celebrate the show and give it the proper sendoff it deserves when it concludes in December 2024.”
It is expected to be replaced by the upcoming African-American Soap Opera, The Gates.
Are you going to miss it? I am going to miss seeing what funny things Jerry was going to do during each episode.
Ethan Peck is starring in Star Trek: Strange Worlds with Rebecca Romijn, who is married to Jerry O’Connell. And now her worlds have collided because the men in her life have collided. Not only that, they are wearing the same “couch” shirt.
Hopefully, Mrs. O’Connell will be able to tell them apart. Because is kind of hard.
Rita Moreno is a legend. So, when people see her, they are enamored by her presence. Even Lenny Kravitz couldn’t help himself.
The EGOT winner told Sheryl Underwood, Jerry O’Connell, and Natalie Morales on The Talk that when the singer saw her at an after-Oscars party, he got down on his knees and praised her. He even kissed her hand. But it didn’t stop there. He then told her, “If I never meet anyone else that I love in my life, you’re the one!”
And with that, she went weak in her knees. Who wouldn’t do that? It is Lenny Kravitz.
It is so lovely that he did that because he grew up with legends thanks to his dad, Sy Kravitz, who was a big shot at NBC, and his mom, Roxie Roker, who starred on The Jeffersons. Imagine the people he grew up with, and yet he still treats an idol as one! His parents did a good job with him.
Jerry O’Connell hosts Pictionary, and contestants have to draw clues on the daily show.
So, when Jerry’s wife, Rebecca Romijn, was on the game show, they asked the couple to draw each other.
How did the portraits turn out? Let’s just say that it is a good thing they look so much better in person than they do in their sketches of each other.
And they love each other so much that they framed those photos and hung them up in their laundry room.
I am sure their twins love looking at their mom and dad through their parents’ eyes.
Jerry O’Connell is in Las Vegas with The Talk for the Super Bowl. So what are you going to do if you are there? Are you going to see U2 at The Sphere? Watch an Elvis Presley impersonator shake his hips? Lose all your money gambling? Hire a Lady of the Night or a Gigalo? Get married to a stranger and then divorce them when you sober up? Well, if you are O’Connell, you are going to be part of RuPual’s Drag Race Live.
Therefore, they took him backstage and gave him a fabulous makeover. And now I think he is even more pretty than his Super Model wife, Rebecca Romijn.
And she should watch out because I could totally see her husband moving to Vegas and joining them on stage every night.
He is a natural! And they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. So maybe he should stay in Sin City and become one of them!
Or he could do it here in LA! The Talk could be his day job, and Drag could be his night one!
