ABC announced today who will be co-hosting Live with Kelly’s biggest show of the year aka the Halloween episode and that person is, drum roll please, Jerry O’Connell. Therefore, it is looking more and more like Kelly Ripa wants the Stand By Me star to sit by her on a Monday to Friday basis.
Why? Well like I said, it is their biggest show of the year and with several of the other candidates like Josh Groban, Matt Bomer, Anderson Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Andy Cohen, Jussie Smollett and Chris Harrison also appearing on it; I would think the person who is co-hosting is the lead candidate to be the person to replace Michael Strahan’s huge shoes.
I think he would be the perfect person for the job. He has chemistry with Ripa. He is super likeable because he is one of the nicest people in Showbiz. He is easy on the eyes. And most importantly, he is very very funny. What more do you need for this show?
Back when they were looking for someone to replace Regis Philbin and Strahan was one of the candidates, I knew he was the perfect choice. Now, my instincts say that O’Connell is the perfect choice. It looks like I am not alone because they are giving him the big episode.
Are you liking the concept of Live with Kelly and Jerry or are you thinking they should go with someone else? Who do you think they should give the job to? Or do you like the rotating co-hosts filling in? If you are like me, then you just want them to announce someone already. After all it has been 6 months so it is about time. Right?
Part of being Kelly Ripa’s co-host on Live with Kelly is to be tortured. Last week, she made Jerry O’Connell get his eyebrows plucked on live TV, but it didn’t stop there. The next day when Priyanka Chopra was on the show, the daytime host asked the actress to demonstrate some of her best stunt moves. It gets worse for Jerry because Ripa made him do it all in heels.
Not only is Chopra one of the World’s Most Beautiful Women, she is also one of the toughest. That is why she does her own stunts in heels on the Quantico. Since she does her own fight moves, she has learned a thing or two and she gave O’Connell a lesson his body won’t soon forget. She went for his throat before eventually throwing him to ground. Amazing that someone so little has such big muscles. In other words, don’t mess with her.
And finally, I will keep saying it until it happens, why doesn’t ABC just give Jerry O’Connell the job already. What are they waiting for? He is the perfect man for the job!
One of the perks of co-hosting Live with Kelly, is that you are going to be tortured in some way. For some reason, fans of the morning talk show find Jerry O’Connell’s eyebrows creepy, so Kelly Ripa brought in an eyebrow artist to shape them.
Therefore, the fat kid from Stand By Me, was sat down in a chair as someone plucked out the hairs above his eyebrows one by one. He didn’t even get the wax treatment, the unruly strands were yanked out by a Tweezer one by one. Because they chose the slower process, you can watch him suffer for several minutes until the man was done torturing.
Was it worth it? For him, he looks great. For me, I am a sadist, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so, I just wish ABC would give him the job already. If he is willing to suffer on live television, let’s see what else they can do to him!

When I was younger, I used to love when my parents would take me through the automatic car wash because it was like being on an amusement park ride.
While that is me, that is not how Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn’s twin girls feel about it.
Hollywood’s cutest parents took Charlie and Dolly through a car wash and the 7 year olds reaction was absolutely priceless. Instead of comforting their girls, they recorded them. That is why we love this mom and pop so much! They are as real and loving with their girls as we would like most parents to be!
BTW, I am sure they are going to regret this decision tonight when the twins wake up in the middle of the night because they are afraid that that spiraling brush is going to get them! But I think it was worth it.
