I do not know about you, but I very rarely can master a whole category on Jeopardy. I have filled my brain with so much useless information, but it never seems to be what they are asking for on the game show.
That is until they added the Celebrity Possessives category. For example, they will ask something like the real name of The Rock with another name for the male anatomy, so the answer would be Dwayne’s Johnson. See pretty simple. Think you can master it like I did? Then press play and see if you are as good as Michelle and I at it!
Jeopardy decided to have some fun with two categories that don’t necessarily go together. They are math and music. The category is called Band Math and they will ask the contestants something like Blink’s number minus the number of Haircuts this band gives. That would 182 minus 100 which equals 82.
Now that you got the hang of it, try it for yourself! I was just so excited that I finally got the $2,000 answer correct! I never get that one. Not only did I know the band’s numbers, I was also able to do the math in my head. Which is probably why I have such a big headache right about now.
Jeff Bridges has been acting since he was a just little kid and he has a resume that most actors dream of having. Throughout his 60 year career, he has starred in a lot of well-known iconic movies including King Kong, The Fabulous Baker Boys, Seabiscuit and True Grit to name a few. So popular that he earned himself his own category on Jeopardy yesterday.
Did the contestants know him as well as we think we do? They did not. Do you know him as well as you thought you did? I did not. I cannot believe I did not get the last one because the title is a huge clue to the answer. Did you get it?
Yesterday on Jeopardy, they had a category all about movie quotes. Alex Trebek did one from Elf and attempted to do his best Will Farrell. How did go? Listen for yourself. I promise you that it is not the Laurel or Yanny audio, that I posted yesterday from him.
Back to the host, it was gallant effort, I am sure it made Ferrell happy, and it definitely made us laugh because it was so bad. He can’t be perfect at everything.
We think of Alex Trebek as one of the smartest people in the world. Therefore, if the Jeopardy host says that something is so, then we do not argue with him.
Today, he listened to the Laurel/Yanny audio and declared that it is saying “Yanny”. In this video, yes I hear it saying “Yanni”. But on the original audio, it is totally saying “Laurel”.
What do you hear? On that note, Marlee Matlin had the best response on the latest #TheDress. She Tweeted, “Yanni or Laurel? Don’t ask me. I can’t hear sh*t.”
