Henry Winkler has gone from Happy Days to The Jennifer Hudson Show’s Happy Place, and that makes me so happy.
The actor boogied his way down the Spirit Tunnel like he was in his 20s again, so I was shocked to find out that he is 80. Because octogenarians don’t move like that. I guess he will always be The Fonz, and that is ayyy-OK with me.
If there was ever anyone that Happy Place was made for, it was made for Winkler, one of the nicest people in Hollywood. I don’t know whose faces lit up more, his or the staff’s? I say it is a tie.
Hey, Jamal Roberts, you won American Idol. What are you going to do next?
Did he record an album? Did he prepare to go on tour? Nope!
So what did he do? He went back to work as a physical education teacher. That’s right. And he explained to Jennifer Hudson on her show today why he did. He said to her, “I love the kids. That’s why I did it.”
Hudson wanted to know if he sings with his students. Not only does he do that, but he also started a gospel choir with elementary school children.
To me, there is more to being an American Idol besides singing. Being a role model is another important part. And the humble winner has that in strides.
I hope the girl dad, of three daughters, continues to find success. And it sounds like he is, because he is going on tour with Brandy and Monica. May that push his career forward, as being on the road did for Sabrina Carpenter, who opened for Taylor Swift.
Simon Cowell was a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show today, and her team had the perfect song for him to walk through the Spirit Tunnel to. What was it? The Greatest Show from The Greatest Showman!
While he is a showman who can pick the best acts for his circus, he is like P.T. Barnum and can’t do what they do! But the Ringmaster can still enjoy getting the attention from the crowd, and he did.
He told his old friend from his American Idol days, Jennifer Hudson, “The best way of coming on a show, seriously, I have ever done in my life.” And he has done a lot of shows through the decades.
Then he asked her if he could steal the idea for America’s Got Talent. She had one requirement for that to happen. What is it? That her people do it. And with that, they shook on it.
Will they be there? We will find out during AGT’s season finale episodes tomorrow and Wednesday! It is not like they have to travel far to get there. Warner Bros is across the street from Universal Studios, where the latter goes live!
Marlon Wayans was on The Jennifer Hudson Show to promote his movie Him, and you know what that means.
That means he had to walk through the Spirit Tunnel to get to the stage. However, no one walks through it; they dance their way through it.
Wayans was no different, especially since the happy crew reworked Bobby Brown’s Every Little Step for him. Even I got my toes tapping. And it got his feet doing a lot more!
What is the Spirit Tunnel? The show’s crew stands alongside the walls as the guests walk from the green room to the stage. As they walk past the crew, they sing a song or chant to welcome them to the show. And the celebrity dances their way to Hudson.
It is an extremely positive thing that became a viral sensation for the daytime talk show. In fact, it became so popular that it might even be bigger than the host.
Therefore, now that they are coming back for season 4, they changed up the Spirit Tunnel to make it even bigger. They added pictures of past guests to the wall and added purple paint to the bottom half.
Instead of resembling most of Hollywood’s dingy offices, it appears to be part of the show, which it is. You might even say it saved it.
J-Hud is back on Monday with all new Spirit Tunnels.
