Maisie Williams was on The Tonight Show yesterday and Jimmy Fallon asked her if she could reveal any secrets from the much anticipated final season of Game of Thrones. Since everyone, including Joe Jonas, had to sign NDAs, she cannot tell him anything.
Well, what happens if you get lost in the moment and accidentally share the fact that your character dies? That’s right, she said that Arya doesn’t make it to the series finale.
Back to the question, what do you do? If you are Williams, you beg for the show to edit it out. Even though Fallon said they would cut the question and answer, she still ran off of the set crying.
Why did NBC still air it then? Because it was April Fool’s Day and they were pranking us. We all know she is a better actress than that.
HBO came up with an interesting and noble way to promote the premiere date of the final season for Game of Thrones. They want you to donate blood to the Red Cross.
They are holding blood drives at SXSW and in 43 states and 9 colleges across the U.S. from March 7-12th. What’s the big deal? If you donate, then not only will get some free cookies and juice you will also get a Bleed For The Throne t-shirt if you mention that is why you are letting them vampire you. There is even more. Game of Thrones is television’s biggest show and it is ending next season. Fans of the show are already speculating how it is going to end. Some of them might get it right, but they will not see it on the small screen. That’s because HBO’s president of programming told Daily Caller, “I know in ‘Game of Thrones,’ the ending, they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really know what happens.” Then Casey Bloys added, “You have to do that on a long show. Because when you’re shooting something, people know. So they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that there’s no real definitive answer until the end.”
How do you think it is going to end? I think it is going to end at a diner and then all of a sudden someone comes through the door as Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing plays on the jukebox. That ending has never been done on HBO before, right?
In 2 years, an actress will an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy and her name will not be Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the first time in forever. That is because Veep’s upcoming 7th season will be its last. Dreyfus explained her decision to The Hollywood Reporter, “It became clear that this season should be the last season.” Then she added, “We don’t want to repeat ourselves or wear out our welcome. The story has a finality to it that feels end-of-series.” Seems obvious how the show will end its run.
