George Clooney is a huge fan of Johnny Depp. The ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ actor has praised the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star for his amazing talent and good business sense. He said: "Johnny just keeps doing really good stuff. He’s a really, really smart and good actor." Clooney has even written to Depp, 43, to express his admiration. He added: "I’ve written letters to him just so say, ‘Hey, man, you’re flaming great’." Meanwhile, Clooney has revealed he could never run for president – because he has had too much sex.

Before anyone could conjure a picture of George lathering Julia up, she added, "I don’t mean that in a sexy way." Salma Hayek warned, "Girls, he’s the best friend you can have. But he’d make a lousy boyfriend." Hayek didn’t say how she reached that conclusion. Though she did allow, "For a non-Mexican, he makes the best shrimp quesadillas I have had." Noah Wyle, Danny DeVito, Catherine Zeta-Jones and other friends tormented Clooney with pictures of his youthful mullet, as well as clips from his old television pilots and bombs like "Batman & Robin" and the "Return of the Killer Tomatoes!" Carl Reiner hailed Clooney’s impression of Liza Minnelli’s ex-husband David Gest. Don Cheadle said, "No one is more infantile than George. That’s why he doesn’t have any children. He doesn’t want the competition." Taped tributes came from Matt Damon, Renee Zellweger, Paul Newman, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Madeleine Albright and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Clooney countered that he had no regrets about his hairstyles or early work. "I do have regrets in my life," he said. "I regret that Michelle Pfeiffer was married when we did ‘One Fine Day.’ And that Julia and Catherine Zeta-Jones were married, too. Also Matt Damon, but that’s a different story. I’d like a crack at him." The show airs on AMC on Dec. 13.

The wisecracking safecrackers of "Ocean’s Thirteen" return this week for some unfinished business. Most of the cast from the 2001 "Ocean’s Eleven" remake and "Ocean’s Twelve" arrive today for the first of two Las Vegas shoots. In town for film scenes at McCarran International Airport and Bellagio are George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Andy Garcia, Carl Reiner and new addition Ellen Barkin. Missing from the lineup will be Julia Roberts, Clooney’s love interest in the first two movies, and "Ocean’s Twelve" co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones, who played an investigator out to nab them in Europe.
Producer Jerry Weintraub has hired Bernie Yuman, longtime manager of Siegfried & Roy, to represent the film for the Las Vegas shoot. Yuman said that he met Weintraub more than a decade ago when Weintraub invited Siegfried & Roy to participate in "Vegas Vacation." "We made the deal (on ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’) and we’ve talked almost every day since," Yuman said.
