Cheers to Animal Control for an enjoyable season! |

Tonight at 9p on Fox is the season finale of Animal Control, and what a purrfect season it has been.
I wish I could say it ends on a happy note, but it doesn’t. Frank (Joel McHale), Emily (Vella Lovell), Shred (Michael Rowland), Patel (Ravi V. Patel), Victoria (Grace Palmer), Templeton (Gerry Dee), and Rick (Kevin Bigley) get together for a funeral. Sadly beloved C38 has passed away, and Frank is not taking the cougar’s death well.
He is not the only one who is not handling things well. Shred is ready to dump his girlfriend for Emily. But then he finds out that Emily is considering dating Rick. So what is he going to do?
He is not the only one who gets news he didn’t want, as does Patel. And Patel’s news will change his life.
And then there is Victoria. She doesn’t have any life-altering changes tonight. However, she does help everyone through their problems and throws them a party to say goodbye to C38.
And that is what makes Animal Control so special. It is a show about a family, a work family, but a family nonetheless. So they are there for each other through the good times and the bad. And we are there for them all. That, and the animals. Like the cute cats in tonight’s episode!
So tune in tonight and then watch the season again on Hulu or the Fox app. Because the more people that watch it, the better the chance that Fox will give it a second season. And it deserves another one over Call Me Kat and Welcome to Flatch.

Nick Cannon replaces an ailing Jamie Foxx on Beat Shazam |
May 3rd, 2023 under Fox, Jamie Foxx, Nick Cannon. [ Comments: none ]
|

On April 12th, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, posted on Instagram that her father was in an Atlanta hospital with a “medical complication.” Since then, she has been social media silent.
There have been rumors the Oscar winner suffered a stroke, but no one has confirmed or said anything.
However, today TMZ posted a story that Foxx is still hospitalized after three weeks.
And since the show must go on, Beat the Shazam will go on without him.
Fox released this statement, “Beat Shazam has been an unscripted mainstay on the FOX schedule for six seasons and counting.
“This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of the fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Foxx. Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ.
“Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer.”
Beat Shazam is expected to debut on May 23rd.
When it comes to Foxx, hopefully, he will be better soon and can host the show again next year.
UPDATE: Jamie Foxx posted this on Facebook, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”
Although, I am not sure he is the one who wrote it. It could be someone posting for him because people want to know how he is doing due to this latest development. I hope I am wrong. And continues to be on the way to full recovery.

9-1-1 was picked up for another season, but… |
May 1st, 2023 under ABC, Fox, Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

 Jack Zeman /FOX
The good news is that 9-1-1 will be back next season. The bad news, it won’t be on Fox.
What? It’s Fox’s #1 show. But, like many aging series, it just got too expensive going into its 7th season. And they didn’t own it.
So who owns it? 20th Television, which is owned by Disney, which owns ABC. So the first responders drama that stars Angela Bassett and Peter Krause is moving over to ABC.
“Thanks to the creative drive of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, as well as the talented cast, ‘9-1-1’ has been one of the most defining and original dramas on network television over the last six seasons and we are honored to bring it to the esteemed group of series on ABC,” said Craig Erwich, president, Disney Television Group. “It’s a privilege to keep ‘9-1-1’ in the family with 20th Television producing, and we look forward to telling more heart-racing and uplifting stories about these beloved characters on our air.”
Shocking but understandable. It will be interesting to see how things will change on its new network. Hopefully, there won’t be too many.
I have a feeling that today’s pickup put all of ABC’s bubble shows in more trouble than they were in yesterday. So The Conners, which is in season 5 with a large cast, might not see a 6th one. I am also not sure if ABC will stick with The Rookie: Feds. Hopefully, because it is a freshman series, they will give it a sophomore season.
9-1-1 joins Station 19, The Rookie, Will Trent, The Good Doctor, Grey’s Anatomy, and Abbott Elementary on the 2023-2024 schedule.
Back to Fox. The news isn’t all bad. They renewed 9-1-1: Lonestar for a 5th season. So I guess there won’t be any more crossovers for the 9-1-1’s

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies and Animal Control go to the principals’ offices |

It is time for another rebellion on Paramount+’s Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, and this time it is Olivia (Cheyenne Isabel Wells) who is starting it.
The episode starts off with her telling Jane (Marisa Davila), Cynthia (Ari Notartomaso), and Nancy (Tricia Fukuhara) about her affair with her teacher and how he threw her under the bus.
And the Pink Ladies are being thrown under the bus for Buddy (Jason Schmidt) breaking his arm during last week’s spontaneous debate against Jane at the dinner. Therefore, Ass. Principal McGee (Jackie Hoffman) tells them that they can’t wear their pink jackets in school.
Because Olivia can’t wear her jacket, her teacher thinks her outfit is too sexy for the boys, so he sends her to the principal’s office. She gets so pissed about it, so she decides to write an article about it that gets published in the school newspaper.
When the principal and the ass. principal read it; they decide to give the school a dress code—no more jackets, t-shirts, jeans, and skirts above the knees. As you can guess, the whole school hates them.
Now, she has to come up with a way to get the people in charge to get rid of their stupid dress code rules. Wait until you hear the song she does to get everyone to follow her lead!
And talking about leads, Wells proved in this latest episode that she is the star of the show. She is the one to watch, so remember her name, Fame. Whoops, wrong musical. Seriously, she kills both songs she was given for today’s episode. The first is a slower tune, and the second is a rambunctious uptempo hit that will remind you of Tell Me More.
I don’t know why I am surprised by how much I love this show. But I am! So check it out because you are going to love it as much as I do.

At 9p on Fox, it is time for another funny episode of Animal Control.
Patel (Ravi V. Patel) is still on suspension with pay for taking the fall for something that Frank (Joel McHale) and Victoria (Grace Palmer) did. So Emily (Vella Lovell) decides to pair Victoria up with Shred (Michael Rowland).
What is their assignment? They go to school and share their knowledge with a class. However, as they are doing their presentation, they are sent to the principal’s office not once but twice. What did they do? I am not going to tell you.
Since Frank should not be on his own, Rick (Kevin Bigley), who is visiting, offers to go out with him. However, Emily is afraid for him because this is the first time he has been out in the field since he lost an ear to a mink.
And we find out that Frank is the reason why that happened, and he feels guilty about it. So what happens when they are assigned to capture a mink? Revenge, sweet revenge!
It is just another day where the animals are more in control than the people who work animal control. And that is why I love this show.
And did I mention we get to see a pig in a blanket? It is even cuter than you think it would be!

A Wonder Years reunion on Fantasy Island tonight |
April 17th, 2023 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

 Laura Magruder/ FOX
If it has been your fantasy to see Wonder Year’s parents, Dan Lauria and Alley Mills, getting some screen time together again, then Fantasy Island is going to make that wish come true tonight at 9p on Fox.
A middle-aged couple (Lauria and Mills) and a younger couple (Brandon Scott and Devika Bhise) arrive separately with their own unique fantasies. All is going well until the couples discover they’re sharing the island; turns out they’re feuding neighbors. The Island forces them into a magical, winner-takes-all competition that reveals unexpected alliances and unravels complicated relationships.
I don’t know what is going to happen, but I can tell you that there will be a food fight! And food fights are always fun to watch and not be a part of.
