Just like Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson…The OC is over!
January 3rd, 2007 under Fox, Peter Gallagher, Rachel Bilson. [ Comments: none ]

The sun will set for the last time on THE O.C. when the series ends its four-season run Thursday, Feb. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The countdown has begun, with all-original episodes airing from Thursday, Jan. 4 through the last episode on Feb. 22. THE O.C. stars Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen), Kelly Rowan (Kirsten Cohen), Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan Atwood), Adam Brody (Seth Cohen), Melinda Clarke (Julie Cooper), Rachel Bilson (Summer Roberts), Autumn Reeser (Taylor Townsend) and Willa Holland (Autumn Reeser). Set in Orange County, California, THE O.C. premiered in August 2003. It follows a group of friends and families whose lives were changed by the arrival of an outsider – Ryan Atwood – to their ocean-side community of Newport Beach. THE O.C. revived the teen drama genre while including humorous and heartfelt adult storylines. Shortly after its summer premiere, THE O.C. was a pop culture phenomenon – its actors are household names and its indie music (and subsequent six soundtracks) and hip California wardrobe are sought-after in stores. The show’s Newport Beach locale also has become a popular tourist attraction as fans visit the real locations featured in their favorite episodes. "THE O.C. Season Four finale will also be the series finale. This feels like the best time to bring the show to its close,” said Josh Schwartz, creator and executive producer of THE O.C. “Thanks to the hard work of our cast, crew and writers, we have enjoyed our best season yet, and what better time to go out than creatively on top. It has been an amazing experience and a great run. For a certain audience, at a certain time, THE O.C. has meant something. For that we are grateful."

I never got this show, but I know there will be a lot of people mourning the death of this show.

Fox’s The Wedding Planners books a cast!
December 18th, 2006 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Teri Polo, Sarah Jones and KaDee Strickland have been tapped to star in "The Wedding Planners," David E. Kelley’s new series for Fox. Jon Amiel has come on board to direct and executive produce the first episode of the series, from David E. Kelley Prods. and 20th Century Fox TV. Michael Landes also has been cast in the project about three sisters who run a family wedding-planning business. Polo will play Jane, the oldest sister, known as the "conservative one." She is attractive, smart, practical and sensible. Jones will play Sammy, the youngest sister. She is a free spirit, the most romantic of the three. Strickland will play Annie, a natural-born leader. She is tough, fit and not afraid of a fight, verbal or physical. Landes will play David, who works at the wedding-planning company as a photographer. He is self-deprecating and charming and has a talent for calming jittery brides. Kelley and Jonathan Pontell are executive producing "Wedding," which is slated to premiere in the spring.

I am kind of curious to see what David E Kelley is going to do with this show!

SYTYCD’s Cat Deely to host Fox’s New Year’s Eve special
December 12th, 2006 under Fox, SYTYCD. [ Comments: none ]

No Regis? No problem. Fox is looking to one of its own to host its New Year’s Eve special this year, tapping So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley. With American Idol host Ryan Seacrest hosting ABC’s Times Square special, Fox last year brought in Regis Philbin for a one-night gig. But this year, Deeley will emcee the special, which airs live from New York City from 11 pm -12:30 am on Sunday night, December 31. In addition to Fox’s Dance show and an extensive resume from the United Kingdom, Deeley has also recently done stints for NBC’s Tonight Show and ABC’s Good Morning America.

I wonder how many people they asked before they settled on her. Seriously what is up with Fox having so many problems finding hosts for their shows.

Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson are like over
December 4th, 2006 under Break-ups, Fox, Rachel Bilson. [ Comments: none ]

Onscreen lovebirds Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody, who play a cute couple on The O.C. and have also dated offscreen since 2004, have decided to call it quits. “They’ve been done for a few weeks,” a friend close to the couple tells Life & Style. “They are just done. That’s all there is to it. There’s no drama. They just ended it.” That may explain why Adam showed up solo to a party on Nov. 28 for the U.S. premiere of Volkswagen’s concept car Tiguan in LA. “He was definitely acting like a single guy,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. According to nightlife insiders in LA, he’s been spending a lot of time without Rachel at the clubs with his guy friends. Reps for the two would not comment.

Life & Style

I guess as the show comes closer to an end they decided to do the same. Oh well.
