Lee Daniels shared this video that Jussie Smollett made of the cast members and crew from Empire having some fun between takes and I think that deserves its own show. On cable preferably so they can curse up a storm!
Aren’t they even wackier than the characters?
Tonight at 9p, Fox debuts its new drama Star and it is going to be a star.
Star (Jude Demorest) is an 18 year foster girl who ages out of the system. She finds her sister Simone (Brittany O’Grady) and a friend Alexandra (Ryan Destiny) she has been talking to online and drives to Atlanta to her Godmother’s (Queen Latifah) so that they can be a huge singing group.
Her Godmother was in a singing group their mother and has wanted to take them in. Now she finally has her chance. A lot has changed since she saw them last. She has found Gd and changed her ways.
Star only wants to be a star and she will do anything to be one. She has the talent, now all she needs is the connections. Something that comes very quickly to her, but do these people have her best interest at heart?
If you are a fan of Lee Daniels’ movies, then Star is something you are going to love. It has that big screen feel on the small screen. It is like watching a movie every week, the quality is that good.
Jussie Smollett likes to share videos of his TV mom hitting him when the big camera isn’t rolling. Today, he switched it up showing Taraji P Henson hitting his TV brother Yazz.
While it looks like it is a scene from Empire, Smollett says, “It’s just @tarajiphenson teaching @yazzthegreatest important lessons while kicking his ass.” Which makes you wonder how much of the character is her and how much of her is her character. Is there even any difference? And that is why we love watching her every Wednesday on Fox!

As we know, Jamal (Jussie Smolett) is suffering from PTSD after being shot and can’t sing. Tonight at 8p on Fox his mother (Taraji P Henson) has come up with a plan to get in back to him back to his old self on Empire. She has asked her old friend Kitty, who is as big as Mariah Carey because she is played by Mariah Carey, to record a single with her son and take him on tour. It doesn’t look like her plan will work, but when has that stopped Cookie?
Then Lucious (Terrence Howard) and his “wife” Anika (Grace Gealey) have a d!ck measuring contest and she shows him that hers is bigger.
That is the only person Lucious will go up against. Andre (Trai Byers) is dealing with being arrested and it is going to get worse for him before it gets better. That includes having a confrontation with dear old dad. Will his sons finally stand up to him?
This is an Empire not to miss because it is even better than it was the first season!

What’s the Frequency, Kenneth? The CW show, that is loosely based on the movie of the same, debuts tonight at 9p.
Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) is a NYPD detective, who lost her father (Riley Smith), a cop, when she was just a kid. They spent their nights talking on a ham radio, and she hasn’t used it since his body was found 20 years ago. Then one night, it mysteriously turns on and she can talk to her father again, the day before he is supposed to die in 1996.
She warns him about what is going to happen and she changes the past. Only problem, she also changed her present. Now she needs to get her dad to do another change to get her present back in order, but what changes will that bring to her life now?
That is why you will want to tune into this show tonight and next week and the week afterwards.
While this review is brief, the show is so well done and captivating, I want you experience it the same way I did.
Lethal Weapon gets a small screen makeover and it is as exciting as the big screen one. Tonight at 8p on Fox get to know Clayne Crawford as Riggs and Damon Wayans as Murtaugh.
Riggs recently lost his wife and that caused the cop to have a death wish. He recently moved and he is teamed up with his new partner Murtaugh. The latter recently had a heart attack and became a father for the 3rd time, so he doesn’t want to die. Making this team interesting. Good thing Murtaugh’s wife Keesha Sharp will keep them in line.
LW is like a procedural made for the big screen, but we get to tune into a sequel each week.

Then at 9p, Empire is back but someone isn’t. Is it just one person? Or two? Or three? Or is it no one at all? The episode picks up right after the season finale, so we immediately find out what happens. The incident causes a ripple effect that everyone will feel. Don’t want to more than that. Well just that it is back, better than ever.
