Before Dulé Hill used his common sense in Psych, his sister was using hers to get his Corn Pops out of the locked car. How cute was the 18-year-old in that 1994 commercial?
Back in 2014, USA Network cancelled Psych, and they realized they made a huge mistake. So, they made it up to the fans by giving us two movies. However, they didn’t air the second film, so they gave it to their streaming service Peacock TV. That telemovie did so well that Peacock gave them a third one.
So, you are cordially invited to Gus’ (Dulé Hill) wedding to Selene (Jazmyn Simon), which starts to stream today. Well, that is if the wedding happens. You see, Shawn (James Roday) finds out that Selene’s name really isn’t that, and he tells Gus.
Now the two of them are on a search to find out who is baby mama really is before he walks down the aisle. What mayhem will they cause? What will they find out about her? Will it be enough for the Groomzilla to call off his wedding?
While they are doing that, Lassie (Timothy Olyphant) is still recovering from his stroke, and Henry (Corbin Bernsen) is helping him do that both physically and mentally. It is a good thing they have each other.
It is also a good thing that Jules (Maggie Lawson) has Karen (Kirsten Nelson) to help her out as they try to find Shawn and Gus.
And there is Curt Smith from Tears for Fears. All I will say is he deserves the Emmy because you will be head over heels for him.
You will also be head over heels for Psych: This Is Gus. Psych is one of the most underrated television shows in the history of TV because of his humor, wit, originality, and chemistry. I am still hoping that one day they will bring it back as a series. But for now, these specials are a good fix.
They give you a season’s worth of feels in two hours. How often can you say you get two hours worth of enjoyment? You don’t, but you do with Psych. So don’t be like USA Network and tell them to “suck it!” Be like Peacock and watch it! I don’t know what that means but watch it anyways.
Psych is getting its third telemovie on November 18th, and the cast had some fun for the promo poster for This Is Gus. They took away the G and copied a look made famous by the This Is Us cast.
I have never seen James Roday, Dulé Hill, Timothy Omundson. Maggie Lawson, Corbin Bernsen, Kirsten Nelson, and Jazmyn Simon look so serious and sad, and I like it. However, only in print because I love the zany characters that they play even more. I know I am not alone because USA and Peacock keep asking them to do more, and we keep watching.
ABC is loving The Wonder Years so much; they asked it to stick around for a full season. Is the news a surprise? Nope. I think it is better than the original mostly because Dulé Hill embodies everything his character should for that era.
What news does surprise me is that ABC also picked up Home Economics for an entire season. Not only is the sitcom terrible, its ratings match. I guess they have nothing waiting in the wings.
Not only for this season but the next one too. I think The Goldbergs and/or The Conners might be announcing their final seasons in a few months. Or at least they should because they are way past their expiration dates. Ever since the real Adam F. Goldberg left the show, it lost everything that made it so endearing.
After eight seasons and two movies, Gus (Dulé Hill) is finally getting his own Psych movie on November 18th called Psych 3: This Is Gus on Peacock.
Gus is about to marry the woman of his dreams, and Selene (Jazmyn Simon, Hill’s real-life wife) is carrying their first child. However, he finds out that she might not be who she says she is, and she was also married. So now, Shawn (James Roday) and Gus are going to do all they can to find out what they can before he walks down the aisle.
What is the worst that can happen? With these two, you never know. And that is why we are still getting more Psych seven years after USA made the mistake of canceling the show.
