Have you ever wondered what Dolly Parton tastes like? I always thought she would taste like cotton candy, funnel cake, and chocolate milkshake all rolled into one awesome flavor. However, I was wrong.
How do I know that? Because Miss Parton has her own ice cream flavor from Jeni’s Ice Cream, so now we know how she thinks she tastes. She tastes like Strawberry Pretzel Pie. I didn’t even come close, did you?
If you want to try, then you will have to wait until April 8th. However, don’t wait too long because they only made 10,000 pints of it. They expect it to go fast.
In case you haven’t heard, Dolly Parton gave Vanderbilt University $1 million in order to find a vaccine for COVID-19. It worked, and they came up with the Moderna Vaccine.
As a present, they gave her the vaccine for free today. Don’t tell her that everyone is getting it for free.
Now that the legend got the shot, we don’t have to worry about losing her to the virus. Hopefully, others will follow her example and get the shot, when it is available to them, too. Please get it when you can.
BTW I will never understand why they didn’t name the vaccine after Miss Dolly. If they did, then people would be lined up to get it. Heck, I would be on line. Actually, I already am on line because I am not throwing away my shot.
A few weeks ago, Tennesseean legislatures created a bill to erect a statue of Dolly Parton on their capitol grounds. Today, the beloved singer responded to the bill.
I want to thank the Tennessee legislature for their consideration of a bill to erect a statue of me on the Capitol grounds. I am honored and humbled by their intention but I have asked the leaders of the state legislature to remove the bill from any and all consideration.
Given all that is going on in the world, I don’t think putting me on a pedestal is appropriate at this time. I hope, though, that somewhere down the road several years from now or perhaps after I’m gone if you still feel I deserve it, then I’m certain I will stand proud in our great State Capitol as a grateful Tennessean.
In the meantime, I’ll continue to try to do good work to make this great state proud.
That is why she deserves the statue. How many people would be asking them to rush through the bill? Not Miss Dolly, she is telling them to wait. We need more people like her, and several statues in her honor.
The Netflix dramedy Grace & Frankie stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. They are two-thirds of the leading ladies from the beloved movie 9 to 5. Therefore, fans of both have been wondering when Dolly Parton will join her partners in crime again, especially since the show is getting ready to tape its final season.
This morning when the Country legend was on Lorraine, and she let us know if it is doable. “I’ve been trying to do Grace & Frankie for years,” Parton said. “We’ve been trying to write me in somehow. When it is safe for us to do a production…I’ll probably get around to do that.”
There needs to be a way for them to make this happen. Maybe she can get into the sex lube and adult toy business with Grace and Frankie. It could be something that has to do with keeping someone tied up.
Now, can we talk about the three accents we heard during the interview? It was such a drastic difference between Lorraine Kelly’s Scottish accent, Barry Gibb’s Australian one, and Dolly Parton’s Southern drawl. So much so my ears were confused.
Who doesn’t want to be Dolly Parton? Since we can’t, we now can smell like her. How? This July she is releasing a perfume called Scent From Above. Just like she was sent from above to us.
“I’ve been lucky enough in my lifetime to see a lot of my dreams come true. Getting to share my perfume with the world is another one that I can now add to the list,” she said to WWD. “I have often said that if you want to see your dreams come true, you have to give them wings, and I truly believe this one is scent from above.”
We don’t know what it smells like, so we are left to guess. I am going to say heaven. What about you?
