Tonight at 10p on Syfy 7 geeks move into a house and compete for an internship with Stan Lee. That position is a Fangasm for these 7 roommates and they will do what they can to get that job. As they await to find out the answer, they will do different challenges to prove how big of a fan they are as they get rewards for proving their love for all things geekdom.
Tonight they try to get people to sign a petition for a National Geek Appreciation Day, and they forget one key element. Will that hurt them? You will have to tune into find out.
Then they compete for an opportunity to have dinner with the one and only George Takei. There is one guy who is such a big fan of Star Trek that he is willing to endure a lot of pain just for the chance to meet his idol. It is mind over matter, but will matter win?
What I like most about Fangasm is they picked people you can actually like. Other shows in this genre pick at least one person with anger issues and bitter, and that makes the show less enjoyable. On this one, they all get along and work together. Because of that I sincerely enjoyed it and I know you will too. And you are going to love Andrew, he looks the nerdiest one of them all and he’s the only one with a girlfriend. With in a few minutes of getting to know him, you will see why that is the case. Not saying that the other ones deserve to be single, but you are just going to adore everything about him.
Meanwhile over at NBC, Chicago Fire is back tonight at 10p and their house might not be around for much longer. Due to city cutbacks, Firehouse 51 is on the short list to be closed down. Even though their days might be number, they will be getting some firefighters from a recently closed house. That means things are going to be tight for them, like shared lockers and no overtime. They are not happy about these changes and that will force one of them to make a decision that can totally change things for everyone.
There is something about Chicago Fire that makes this show so much different than other shows about firefighters. It just as much about the fires as it is the relationships between them and because that you find yourself tuning in every week. This is a show that will be around long time just like Dick Wolf’s other shows that never seem to go away!
Chicago Fire is getting a new cast member tonight at 10p on NBC and she is going to be loved by everyone on the show! That because she is a mutt named Pouch and who doesn’t love man’s best friend?
Executive Producer Derek Haas, explained why they added the newest member to the show, “All firehouses have a million stories to tell about a firehouse dog, and we thought she would make a great addition.†Then he added what her role will be on the hot drama, “Pouch will literally grow up before our eyes. Plus, pets are great stress relievers, and firefighters and rescue squads are under tremendous pressure every day, so they will appreciate her presence as a working dog.†And the viewers will appreciate watching a dog work every week.
He also talked about the first time arftress getting used to acting. He said she is not that good at hitting her marks, but she good about leaving her mark. As in she has been leaving a few puddles on the floor. I am sure she will be a trained arftress before they know it and won’t be leaving a mess all over the place.
So tune into see the cutest cast member since Crystal the Monkey on Animal Practice, make her debut on Chicago Fire tonight. Seriously isn’t she arfdorable?

Chicago Fire is so real that WGN Morning News anchors Larry Potash and Robin Baumgarten thought a staged plane crash was the real thing. For nearly two minutes the two of them reported on the live video that their news chopper was feeding into the station. Only problem it was a fake crash and when they found out their expressions were priceless.
Here is my problem with the station in the #3 market, why didn’t the assignment desk call to confirm it was an actual plane crash before they went to air with. I mean the desk would’ve heard the scanners go crazy if a plane went down on a major street and hit several cars. I have been in the newsroom when a plane has gone down, and believe you know. So why didn’t they? And why didn’t the producer wait until he had confirmation before he went live with the story? Someone definitely got ripped a new one after that big booboo.
BTW I hope the set designers who put that crash together gets an Emmy and a raise because obviously what they did was really believable!
For all of your Dick Wolf fans who thought for the first time in over 20 years the world would be without a Law & Order, well you don’t have to worry any more because NBC renewed SVU for another season. Ice-T broke the news on Twitter and said, “SUPER EXCLUSIVE NEWS: SVU has officially been renewed for season #14. Tell a hater. #FLTG” LA Times has even more good news, Dick Wolf will have a second series on the network called Chicago Fire. The show stars Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer and it’s about a fire department in Chicago. Like the title wasn’t enough of a clue.
Back to SVU, it is the first NBC non-Freshman show to be picked up for next season. Smash and Grimm are the only other two returning shows announced to be coming back for another season.
Before Ty Burrell sold real estate on Modern Family, he was the ADA on Law & Order: SVU. He looks the same now as he did when he was 34 in that 2002 episode.
