Whether you watch the Law & Order franchise or not, you know that dun-dun sound. But did you know you could dance to it?

Well, you can. And Wolf Entertainment wants to see your moves to their theme song.

NBC picked up all six of Dick Wolf’s shows

NBC announced today that they picked up all six of Dick Wolf’s procedurals, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Law & Order: Organized Crime, for the 2023-2024 season.

“I’m pleased to continue my four-decade relationship with Universal Television and NBC,” said executive producer Dick Wolf. “All six shows being picked up again is the ultimate accolade to our incredible casts, producers, and writers. I’d also like to thank our loyal fans who have kept our NBC shows on the air for what will be a cumulative 84 seasons.”

If you want to do the math, then here are the numbers: Law & Order: SVU, 25th season, Law & Order, 23rd season, Chicago Fire, 12th season, Chicago PD, 11th season, Chicago Med, 9th season, and Law & Order: CI, 4th season.

The six shows join Quantum Leap, Night Court, La Brea, Magnum, P.I., and Found in the fall.

Jesse Spencer is back on Chicago Fire

Jesse Spencer left Chicago Fire in 2021, but he will be reprising his role in April to fill the void left by Taylor Kinney, who took a temporary leave from the series in January due to a personal matter.

Variety did not say why Matt Casey is returning to Chicago.

This is not the first time Spencer has come home. There was no way that Casey was going to miss his friend’s wedding at the end of last season.

What is, Jeopardy reveals what are the sounds that make up Law & Order’s dun-dun?

Are you like me, and have you ever wondered what are the sounds, yes sounds, that make up Law & Order’s iconic dun-dun? Well, thanks to Jeopardy we know now.

During Final Jeopardy, Ken Jennings asked the contestants, “Mike Post combined the sound of a slamming jail door, an anvil & 100 men stomping on the floor for this series that debuted in 1990.”

While, I knew the answer was Law & Order, I didn’t know all of that was used to create just two notes. Did you?

Now, we know why the dun-dun is so powerful; so many sounds of force went into it.

Taylor Kinney is taking a break from Chicago Fire

Taylor Kinney is one of the last originals on Chicago Fire, and Deadline is reporting that he is taking a break from the series, which is filming its 11th season.

The site added that the actor is “taking a leave of absence to deal with a personal matter.”

The cast and crew found out about his temporary absence today. As of now, there is no word how the first responders’ drama will handle why Kelly Severide’s is missing.
