Diane Franklin might have the best title for an autobiography
March 5th, 2019 under Diane Franklin. [ Comments: none ]

Diane Franklin wrote a book about growing up and working in Hollywood for 40 years, and she gave it a most excellent title. She called it, “The Excellent Adventures of the Last American, French-Exchange Babe of the 80s.”

Don’t understand why it is so perfect? It is a combination of her biggest movies Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, The Last American Virgin and Better Off Dead. Three movies that every teenager should see as a rite of passage.

The only complaint I have about her book is its price. Shouldn’t it be $2? Don’t get that, then you are deprived because you have never seen Better Off Dead.

Is Diane Franklin really 56 years old?
November 5th, 2018 under Are they really their age?, Diane Franklin. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1982, Diane Franklin became the subject of boys’ fantasies when she starred in The Last American Virgin. Now 36 years later, she is still doing tempting men as she wears a bikini on the beach. Can you believe she is 56 because she sure does not look like it?

The sweet princess from Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure has a very sweet body no matter what year she is in. So much so, it would make John Cusack think he is not Better Off Dead.

The actress still looks as good today as when she played the sister in Amityville II: The Possession, also in 1982. On November 13th, she will be telling the Lutzes story again in The Amityville Murders, but this time she will be playing the mother.

BTWF: Diane Franklin for Soft n’ Pretty
July 17th, 2018 under Before They Were Famous, Diane Franklin. [ Comments: none ]

Before Diane Franklin was the soft and pretty French exchange student in Better Off Dead, she was flirting with a guy while discussing Soft n’ Pretty toilet paper. How cute was the 17-year-old in that 1979 commercial?

BTW I wonder if it sold for $2 back then because I want my $2!

Diane Franklin returns to Amityville!
July 16th, 2018 under Diane Franklin, Movies. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1982, Diane Franklin starred in Amityville II: The Possession as Ronald DeFeo’s sister. Now, over 35 years later, she is returning to that infamous house to star in The Amityville Murders, but this time she is playing his mom. Burt Young, who played her dad in the first film, also has a role in this film that comes out later this year.

If you don’t the story before there was there was The Amityville Horror about the Lutzes, there was Ronald DeFeo who murdered his whole family in that house just before they moved in. The 1982 movie was a loosely based on those murders and this film is actually telling that family’s story leading up to the fateful night November 13, 1974.

After watching the trailer below, I cannot wait to see it. It looks even scarier than all the documentaries based on the house and the paranormal that investigated it.

BTW Amityville 2 is on Tubi TV and you can watch it for free. If you do watch it, you will see that Franklin has not really aged a day since then.

Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’s Princesses reunited!
January 28th, 2016 under Diane Franklin, Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

Diane Franklin and Kimberley Kates aka Princess Joanna and Princess Elizabeth reunited and they have a message to tell us. The two of them along with Alex Winter aka Bill S Preston will all be hanging at Monsterpalooza in April. Maybe someone can convince Keanu Reeves aka Ted Theodore Logan to join them, so we can finally get started on Bill & Ted’s 3. I am sick of hearing about it, I want to see it become a reality already!
Now, when it comes to the Princesses, don’t they look fabulous. Maybe if Wild Stallion can’t get their acts together soon, someone would consider doing Jo & Liz’s Excellent Adventure instead?
