|  Emma Slater/Facebook Before Derek Hough was judging Emma Slater on Dancing with the Stars, they danced in George Michael’s unreleased music video for Round Here. They look so young when she was 15 and he was 19 in that 2005 photo.
Slater wrote this with the photo: “This photo was taken in London on my first professional job (I was 15 at the time though I said I was 16 was I wanted to do it) Derek Hough did it also! I just stumbled across it, can you find us?! It was for a George Michael music video that he never used.
“Love a blast from the past. If you just started watching the show you may not know that a lot of the pro dancers grew up dancing along side each other in competitions. There’s a lot of back story!”

Before Derek and Julianne Hough danced their way into our hearts on Dancing with the Stars, they worked their magic in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. How cute was the 15-year-old big brother and his 12-year-old sister in that 2001 movie?
“Did you know @juleshough and I were in the first Harry Potter film? ✨,” the DWTS judge wrote. “We spent three months in the Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest, and even the Quidditch pitch! It was incredible to be part of such a historic moment. And I may have ‘accidentally’ taken a Ravenclaw robe, scarf, tie, and a few pieces of silverware from set… but shh, don’t tell! Just a little holiday magic and nostalgia to share with you all. Happy holidays #harrypotter”
And now, the Hogwarts police are going to be going after Derek to reclaim the stolen items.

Yesterday was Heavy Metal night on Dancing with the Stars, and everyone, including the judges, dressed like they were in a Metal band from the ’80s.
Even though we didn’t see his legs from behind the judges’ table, Derek Hough put on leather pants. However, he couldn’t get them off. Because as he found out, sweating due to the spotlight focused on him will make the pants become one with you.
If only he remembered the lesson Ross Gellar taught us: Baby powder is your best friend when wearing cow skin.
But he didn’t remember it in time. And now he and those pants are like a Groupie who meets her idol!
Poor Derek. Once he finally splits with pants, he is going to have to try to find a way to brush all of that hairspray out of his faux hawk. The ’80s were not for the faint of heart. Thus, why Gen Xers are so tough.

Derek Hough’s wife gets surgery to replace part of her skull today |

On December 6th, Derek Hough’s wife, Hayley Erbert, suffered a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel during a performance in Washington, D.C., and she required an emergency craniectomy.
During that surgery, she had part of her skull removed. And today, she is going to get a skull implant.
“I strongly believe all the prayers that have been sent with the intention and love of Hayley’s recovery has helped so much. I can’t thank you all enough,” The Dancing with the Stars’ head judge wrote. “She is going in for surgery this morning to replace a large portion of her skull that was removed during her Craniectomy. Please keep her in your prayers as I believe the collective energy helped her through these past few weeks. We love you. We thank you.”
I am praying that the operation will go smoothly, and she will continue her road to recovery. So that they can get back on the road and do what they love to do: dance.

On Wednesday night, Derek Hough’s wife, Hayley Erbert, went through a terrifying medical scare. She was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors diagnosed her with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel, and she required an emergency craniotomy.
Over the weekend, the Dancing with the Stars head judge gave an update on her condition. “Hayley has always inspired me with her will, her strength, and her resilience and no more so than in the last 48 hrs. She is now on the long road of recovery,” he wrote. “Words cannot express how grateful and thankful we are for the support and love that you have given us. The kindness that we’ve been shown in this incredibly unfathomable, and life changing time is immeasurable. The offers of assistance that have poured in have been so humbling and appreciated. Our hope is that as a family, we can somehow and someway pay it forward.”
Hopefully, she will be better soon, and they will be back dancing to sold-out crowds in no time.
