Is Donald Trump starting a war with David Letterman?
February 22nd, 2012 under David Letterman, Donald Trump. [ Comments: 1 ]

A few years ago Donald Trump had a verbal war with Rosie O’Donnell, which I think is still going on, and now it looks like he is starting one with another talk show host. This time the victim is David Letterman. The Celebrity Apprentice boss Tweeted this today, “David Letterman’s show has become so boring and mundane. Somehow, every time I look, I can’t help thinking of his world-shattering poor performance at the Academy Awards a number of years ago. Anyway, I hope he gets it together. @LateShow” No reason was given why he turned against someone he used to like, but I am assuming it is because the CBS late night host is opting not to book him on the show. I mean it isn’t like Letterman hasn’t been making fun of Trump for a long time about his hair and running for President, so why start something now and not back then?
I can’t wait to see if and how Letterman will respond to Trump because I would be surprised if he didn’t and you know what he says will be good.

Joan Rivers hits Betty White below the belt
February 17th, 2012 under David Letterman, The Comedy Central Roast of Joan Rivers. [ Comments: 3 ]

Joan Rivers has no problem making fun of celebrities, but yesterday when she was on The Late Show with David Letterman she hit the below belt with her jokes. First she went off on Goldie Hawn and said “Goldie has allegedly been pulled so tight, they say, ‘when she swallows she has an orgasm'” Unlike Joan who has been pulled so tight when she scratches her head her feet itch. Then she made an unfunny joke about Joan Collins that isn’t even worth repeating.
Finally she went after Betty White saying that the only reason her career had a resurgence is because she is known in the business as “Bendover Betty”. Really why go there? If Betty and Joan battled it out on a roast the Golden Girl would easily win. When it comes to funny Betty knows how to do it better.
BTW it seems I am not the only one who didn’t find the jokes funny because Letterman didn’t appear to like them either.

A young Nic Cage and Charlie Sheen on plane together equals a near arrest for one
February 9th, 2012 under Charlie Sheen, David Letterman, Nicolas Cage. [ Comments: 1 ]

Nicolas Cage was on The Late Show tonight and he told David Letterman about a time that Charlie Sheen and him were on a plane together from LA to SF twenty years ago. It sounds innocent enough but it was anything but for the two bad boys. Cage says that he didn’t know that Sheen had an 8 ball of cocaine wrapped around his ankle. And what Charlie didn’t know is that Nic was going to grab the PA and announce “that I was the pilot and that I was not feeling well and that I was losing control of the aircraft.” Well when they landed, the police were waiting for one of them and can you guess which one it was?
Those two must have great stories, and I want to know more but part of me is thinking whatever little amount of innocence I have left will be gone after I hear them.

UPDATE: Nicolas also denied that picture of man who looks an awful lot like him from the late 1800’s is in fact him on The Late Show. He also claims that he doesn’t drink blood. I would faster believe that is him in the picture than the fact that he doesn’t like down the red stuff?

David Letterman makes his man crush uncomfortable
February 8th, 2012 under David Letterman. [ Comments: none ]

Not since Julia Roberts gushed over Denzel Washington when she handed him his second Oscar, has anyone showed such Glory towards the actor. That was until last night when David Letterman declared on The Late Show that he basically has a man crush on him. He says he gets why women find him so good looking and that is when the actor who is promoting Safe House was seeking one. But it didn’t stop there because at one point during the interview the CBS late night host put his hand on top of Denzel’s and that is when it got really weird. I think that might Letterman’s most awkward interview since Joaquin Phoenix? Although I think this time they were both in on the joke of it all.

David Letterman’s employees Top Ten Things they have really wanted to say to him
February 2nd, 2012 under David Letterman. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was David Letterman’s 30th anniversary hosting a late night show and his staff that has been with him the longest, took part in a Top Ten of things that they have really wanted to say him after all of these decades of working with him on The Late Show. To say that they are big as a fan of his as Jay Leno is would be an understatement. Well that one guy was a big fan, but I think he would’ve preferred one of the other employees read that Top Ten item.
I am sure they are joking because if they didn’t like him and the job there wouldn’t have been 10 people there to read that list that have been with him for over a quarter of a century. Not that many show’s can say that about their staff, so it is really admirable in that aspect that he can.
