Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Mr Las Vegas himself Wayne Newton is looking to become Mr Dance Floor when he joins this season's Dancing with the Stars! I hope it is true because there is a certain suaveness about him and I think because of that he will go far in the competition.
Wayne Newton is the third name tossed around for this season, Jennie Garth and Mel B are also rumored to be putting on their dancing shoes this season. The dancers will be announced next week (August 29th) on Good Morning America.
BTW if ABC adds him all I have to say is Danke Schoen!

Kelly Monaco, Regina Poryes (not a DWTS girl), Kym Johnson and Cheryl Burke were all in Las Vegas to celebrate Edyta Sliwinska's bachelorette party according to Norm Clarke. Edyta is marrying DWTS co-dancer Alec Mazo, who won the first season of Dancing with the Stars with Kelly Monaco. BTW this is the stuff gas station calendars are made out of.

Jerry Springer will be taping an episode of Days of our Lives on July 9th that will air on July 27th according to TV Guide. Springer who is in LA filming America's Got Talent will be playing a Las Vegas High Roller who teaches Nick blackjack and about girls. Nick lost his virginity to the mother of the girl who lost her virginity to him and those are the only two women he has been with, so that sounds likes a Springer episode to me. In fact Springer feels the same way about his guest appearance on the show, "In light of the fact that I deal with real-life soap operas every day, it's a total thrill to actually be able to appear on one — particularly of the stature of Days of our Lives." I can't wait to see him on the show with Nick because those scenes are going to be so cute and so funny!

|  Planet Gossip is reporting that Aaron Carter is in serious talks to join the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. If he is the former teen singer for DWTS5 he will be joining former teen singers Joey McIntyre, Drew Lachey, Joey Lawrence and Joey Fatone. I think he will be either really good or really bad because with him there is no in between. Personally I hope that Dancing with the Stars keeps looking for someone else to fit those dancing shoes.
