Meet robot skeleton sidekick, Geoff Peterson on Craig Ferguson tonight!!!
April 5th, 2010 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: 4 ]

Tonight on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson we are finally going to meet robot skeleton sidekick Geoff Peterson and the excitement is too much for me too compute for y’all. For those of you who are trying to figure out why the Robot Skeleton Army have been waiting anxiously for tonight, here is why…

After joining “the Twitter” in February, Ferguson (@CraigyFerg) nicknamed his followers on the social media platform “the Robot Skeleton Army” and joked on THE LATE LATE SHOW that he needed a skeleton sidekick. In turn, Imahara, a former animatronics engineer and model maker known for his work on R2D2 and the Energizer Bunny, kicked off a campaign for the construction of a sidekick on March 1 with a tweet that read:
“@CraigyFerg I hear you are looking for a robot sidekick. I think I can help… for a price: get me 100,000 followers. If you can.”
To which, Ferguson immediately followed with:
“Roboskels. Urgent! I need you to follow @grantimahara. For 100k followers he’ll build a roboskeleton sidekick. Advance my rattly cyborgs!”

I like many other Robot Skeleton Army members began following Mythbuster’s Grant Imahara as soon as I saw CraigyFerg’s Tweet and now I can’t wait to see what he has come with for Craig Ferguson and us. What will Geoff Peterson do? How will Craig use him? And who do you think will be the first guest that Geoff Peterson will decapitate on the show? Find out tonight on CBS at 12:37a when Grant, Geoff and Kristen Bell will all be guests on the show!

April 2nd, 2010 under Craig Ferguson, Robin Williams. [ Comments: none ]

Anytime Robin Williams is on a talk show you know it is going to be a laugh riot. So what happens when you put him on a talk show where the host doesn’t give an OhLaLa? You get nearly 18 minutes of politically incorrect non-stop laughter! Since it is Good Friday, why not have one and enjoy Robin Williams on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
And check out Craig Ferguson tonight on CBS at 12:37a when he interviews John Corbett and Joss Stone.

I didn’t think it was possible to love John Cusack more than I already did, but I do!
March 23rd, 2010 under Craig Ferguson, John Cusack. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday the John Cusack was on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and I saw a whole new side to him I never saw before. Cusack was naturally funny and played along with everything the late night host did. One of Ferguson’s big things is to do an awkward pause at the end of the interview, well the Hot Tub Time Machine star decided he wanted to do it mid-way through instead. While the two sat there not talking to each other and doing some not for TV stuff with some Purell, Cusack one upped Ferguson. But don’t worry Craig got him him back. You have to watch that interview not only to see how, but to have a whole new love for John Cusack like I do!!!
John Cusack can say anything, but as you can see what he (ShockZulu) Tweeted about his appearance on the show he can’t spell everything!

for the record the bleeped launguage was me asking if you could say shit eating whore on tv.. love craig ferguson– kost insane man on tv
wildly inelligent funny as hell and completly nuts– there was no pre interview– he just goes… love him.. massivly talented guy.
i want craig skeleton army here!… ow do i send craig a message?

Even though he can’t spell worth a crap, I still love him!!!
BTW he also went a Tweeting rampage trying to get women to see Hot Tub Machine when it comes out this Friday, and I can tell you this is one lady who will be there and I know I am not the only one of the female persuasion to watch the man who had us when he had a boombox over his head!!!
Finally here is part two of that interview that wasn’t as genius as the first!

Amy Ryan out wits Craig Ferguson and Michael Sheen!!!
March 4th, 2010 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: none ]

(starts at 6:40 in)

Yesterday The Green Zone’s Amy Ryan was on The Late Late Show and she was sandwiched between Craig Ferguson and Michael Sheen during her interview. Throughout the whole interview The Scotsman (Craig) was trying to out wit The Welshman (Sheen), but it was Amy Ryan who had the best zinger of the three. When Craig was tossing to a commercial break he said, “I think we should have a commercial break. Well, I don’t, but we have to. But if it was cable we wouldn’t have to. And we can say (a curse word.)” And Amy responded with, “And if it was cable, you could also f*ck!” That comment left the two Brits red faced and in shock that she out did them and she has gained the respect of them and us for being so bold and quick witted! Way to go Amy Ryan, you have a fan in me now!
If you need to laugh even more then you did with the two last segments from last night’s show above, then watch two other segments from the show with Alice in Wonderland’s Michael Sheen below. Tune into CBS’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tonight on at 12:37a and see if Michael Sheen left or if is still there?

Did Craig Ferguson’s audience-free experiment work?
February 24th, 2010 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: 3 ]

Yesterday Craig Ferguson tried something that most late night talk show hosts would never dare to do and that is do his whole show without an audience. In opening transition between his show and his boss’ David Letterman’s he explained why he decided to try this experiment. What he said made sense. Instead of doing a monologue, he immediately started interviewing the witty and interesting Stephen Fry and continued to do so for the rest of the show. Basically it was a chat between two old friends and they talked about a range of topics from their drug use, Twitter, America and so much more.
Last night’s experiment was definitely an interesting one, but I can’t say I fully loved it. Part of the reason why I watch late night TV is not only for the interviews, but for the laughs. I didn’t find myself laughing during the chat. I found it interesting and learned some things, but I did find myself getting bored. I like the concept of getting to know someone better and I really feel that I did, but I am not sure his show is the right outlet for that and especially at that hour. By not having the audience there you get a much more intimate interview which I liked, but I think I prefer the interviews with an audience when you can tell by the silence that you are going to long on a topic or the laughter to keep going with that part of the interview. And I think audience feedback was really missing from their chat. I am not saying I wouldn’t watch if he chose to do it again, but I would prefer if he did it again he did it with someone with a little more energy that he has a great rapport with like Denis Leary!
After the show finished taping @CraigyFerg Tweeted, “Just finished taping show with Stephen Fry & no audience. Thank God he is so erudite & generous. Odd show. Some will like it. Some won’t.” I think I am just in the middle when it comes to how I feel about it. What do you think? Do think he should do it again?
Craig Ferguson will be back with an audience tonight at 12:37a on CBS’s The Late Late Show and he will be talking to Don Cheadle and Jenneatte Walls.
