Billy Idol released a remastered version of his 2006 Christmas album this year. To celebrate it, he stopped dancing with himself, and he danced with his granddaughter to his take of Jingle Bell Rock. Poppy Rebel might not even be 18 months old yet, but she already has the Jingle Bell Hop down, thanks to her loving grandfather.
When it comes to Idol, he hasn’t been that tough Punk Rocker we got to know in the ’80s ever since I heard his holiday album, and this solidifies it. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Now let’s talk about his record Happy Holidays. It has been my favorite Christmas album ever since I heard it. Forget Perry Como, Mariah Carey, and Michael Bublé; Idol owns this season. The others are just fruit cake as compared to him.
It is Christmastime, so that means it is time for Mariah Carey’s Carols. This year she is adding a new song to the repertoire. Today, she released her newest single, Falling In Love, with Kirk Franklin and Khalid.
What do you think of it? Is she on Santa’s nice list or his naughty one?
She is on my naughty one. Because I have a migraine and that high note made me see stars. And not in a good way. Ouch!
As soon as Halloween was over, Mariah Carey declared it is Christmastime! Since she is the Queen of Christmas, radio stations started playing Christmas Carols.
While she is the Queen, one of the Princes disagrees with her. Josh Groban wrote, “It’s too early for Christmas music. Especially mine. Stop it.”
So are you Team Mariah or Team Groban when it comes to when we should start playing the music of this season? I am Grobs on this one. We will get enough of it between Thanksgiving and December 25th.
Do you know what Christmas really needs? It needs another song from Mariah Carey for the holiday. Therefore, she is giving us one. This Friday, she is releasing Fall In Love At Christmas with Khalid.
While it won’t topple her song All I Want For Christmas Is You, the new Christmas Carol will give it some competition.
Netflix added 17 original Christmas films to their streaming site this year, and I bet you want to know how many times they mentioned the holiday in their movies. They wanted to know too.
Therefore, they got a bunch of people together to count and edit all of them together into one video. So, how many times did Dolly Parton and the others say the word? 200! That is a lot of Christmases.
As I said, they only streamed 17 new features this year. Imagine if someone did that for the Hallmark, Lifetime, and Up movies? They would be editing the video until next Christmas.
