Chris Pine and Patricia Arquette were guests on The Late Late Show with James Corden yesterday and the CBS late night host asked them to act out a scene from The Young & The Restless. Captain Kirk went all out for it. He put on a wig, unbuttoned his shirt, kissed any face he could and broke everything in his path. By the end of the scene, I felt that his talent is wasted on the big screen. I think he should be doing the small screen in the afternoon instead. He was born to act on soap operas, don’t you agree?
When it comes to Corden, this sketch proves to me that he’s the British version of Jimmy Fallon. Do you see what I see?
Chris Pine was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and the ABC late night host told Captain Kirk that Meryl Street says he (her Into the Woods co-star) has a great singing voice. Kimmel then asked him to sing something and after a little persuasion he belted out Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon. Pine’s voice has me pining for him to fly me to the moon. I know that was cheesy, but then again so is that song.
But seriously, his voice is as enchanting as his eyes. It almost makes me want to go see Into the Woods, a musical I personally didn’t care for when I saw it.
Chris Pine was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and he told the ABC late night host that he when he was a preteen he wrote to Premiere Magazine asking for Buffy the Vampire Diaries’ Kristy Swanson’s phone number. The mag published his letter, but never gave him the digits. The future actor had a huge crush on her when he was just 12 and now almost 20 years later Kimmel finally connected the two via the phone on his show during the interview. Even though the young Captain Kirk can have his pick of the ladies, he couldn’t stop blushing over the concept of talking to the woman that got him through JHS. How awwwdorable was that interaction? It makes me want to pine for those blue eyes even more.
Before Chris Pine was Unstoppable, the police stopped and talked to him on CSI: Miami. Doesn’t the 23 year old actor look great with longer hair in that 2003 episode?
