LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell go from NCIS: LA to Come Dance With Me
September 1st, 2020 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell have been working on NCIS: LA for 11 years and counting. Now, the two of them are working on another TV show together for CBS.

This one involves dancing. Mama said knock you out because what do they have to do with dancing? Between the two actors, they have eight kids. When their children were growing up, some of them took dancing lessons. Therefore LL Cool J says, “We reminisced about our kids’ dance lessons and how it would look if they had to teach us how to dance. What we noticed was, aside from the two-left-feet element, like most parents, no one wants to let their kids down. The show is about being creative, having a good time and bringing families together through dance. It’s a fun show with a big heart!”

What is the premise of Come Dance With Me? “In the series, exceptionally talented young dancers from across the country will invite one inspirational, and untrained, family member or other adult who has supported their dance dreams, to become their dance partner for a chance to strut their stuff for a grand prize.” CBS adds, “Each week, these aspiring kids will share their love of dance with their mother, father, grandparent or other hero on an uplifting and emotional journey to learn and perform challenging routines, with the assistance of professional choreographers, in a competition with other duos.”

If O’Donnell and LL Cool J don’t dance on the show, it would be a crime that only NCIS: LA could solve.

CBS is literally taking it One Day at a Time in September and October
August 26th, 2020 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Production is slowly amping up, so most of the fall shows on broadcast television have not started filming yet. Even though CBS was hoping things would be back to normal in time for the fall season start date, things are still not normal. Therefore, none of their scripted show will debut in either September or October.

Instead, they are taking it One Day at a Time. As in, they will be airing season four of the sitcom that was canceled by Netflix and saved by Pop TV. That is not the only acquired scripted show joining their lineup, so is CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Discovery and Spectrum Original’s Manhunt: Deadly Games. These shows will be joined by The Amazing Race, 48 Hours, Undercover Boss. The FBI Declassified,60 Minutes, and The Greatest #AtHome Videos.

S.W.A.T. and Family Feud are getting ready to get back to work
August 3rd, 2020 under CBS, Steve Harvey, TV Soaps. [ Comments: none ]

Normally at this time of year, broadcast’s scripted television would be back in full production. However, COVID-19 has other ideas about that. This year, the only shows back at work are game shows, reality TV, and soap operas.

Well, that is about to change soon. Deadline is reporting that S.W.A.T., the midseason show that just made it back on the fall lineup, is expected to start filming tomorrow in Los Angeles. By the end of the month, it could be joined by The Goldbergs. These Sony produced shows join their studio brethren Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Shark Tank, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and The Restless in production.

Y&R joins B&B and will begin airing new episodes starting on August 10th, according to CBS.

There is one more Sony show getting ready to go back to work, and that is The Good Doctor in Vancouver. It is not the only show that tapes in Canada that is gearing up to begin filming. So is Supernatural, The Flash, Riverdale, A Million Little Things, and Charmed. When Calls the Heart went back into production last week with Jack Wagner.

That is north of Hollywood to the west, Family Feud will forego an audience in Atlanta later this month per The Wrap. Up north in New York City, The Blacklist is not being blacklisted from filming.

All of these shows will constantly be testing the cast and crew to make sure they are still coronavirus negative. It will be costly, but not producing new episodes is even more expensive. However, human lives are priceless, and they will do everything they can to protect them.
