Original cast members set sail on The Real Love Boat
August 29th, 2022 under CBS, Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn. [ Comments: none ]

CBS is bringing back The Love Boat as a reality dating show on October 5th with Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn as the Cruise Directors. However, they can’t man that big ship all by themselves, so they are going to have some help.

Ted Lange is going to be serving up drinks to the ten single men and women who are vying for love, while Jill Whelan will be assisting with the passengers’ needs on the Regal Princess Cruise Ship.

I wonder if they will get show-killer Ted McGinley to take photos on a later episode. Oh wait, they might not want to have him appear on The Real Love Boat. At least if they want the series to get a second season.

We are just over a month away from the start of the Fall TV season on broadcast. Therefore, we are beginning to get details about the series’ season premieres.

Today, we learned that NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii will start their seasons off with a 2-hour crossover event.

Following the cliffhanger Season 19 finale, with Parker (Gary Cole) still on the run with his ex-wife Vivian (Terri Polo), the team investigates who from his past might have a personal vendetta against him in hopes of clearing Parker’s name. Enlisting the help of NCIS: Hawai’i’s Special Agent Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and Computer Specialist Ernie Malick (Jason Antoon), who are in town meeting with Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) in preparation for a global military exercise, the group tracks down their prime suspect, The Raven.

The episodes premiere on CBS on September 19th at 9p.

Could NBC save Magnum P.I.?
June 2nd, 2022 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9rvG6iYqm0

Out of all this year’s broadcast cancellations, the biggest surprise is when CBS cancelled Magnum P.I. Therefore, it should be no surprise that NBC Universal is looking to pick up the drama for either NBC or USA Network. Deadline is also reporting that Paramount+ is also interested, but their first choice is NBCU.

It will be interesting to see who will win out? And they better hurry up because the actor’s contracts end on June 30th. So, they will most likely make a decision before then rather than extend their contracts.

Do you want them to save the show?

CBS pulls FBI’s season finale due to today’s horrific school shooting

CBS has pulled tonight’s FBI season finale due to a horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

The episode titled Prodigal Son was described as, “As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case.”

CBS made the right decision.

I don’t have much more to say because my heart is broken for our country. There were two awful mass shootings in the last two weeks by 18-year-olds. And sadly, it is going to keep happening.

UPDATE: Missy Peregrym, who is on maternity leave and not in the episode, had this to say, “Nothing I say here will satisfy the depth of grief I feel for the families of this heartbreaking and hateful reality. I commend @cbstv for pulling the finale.”
