Lance Bass Broadway bound?
July 6th, 2007 under Broadway, Lance Bass. [ Comments: none ]

Planet Gossip is reporting that Lance Bass is in final negotiations to star as Corny Collins in Hairspray. Bass would most likely sign on for the role for five months starting next month. If that is true we can cross off the rumor that he will be doing Dancing with the Stars 5. Just because he won't be doing DWTS does not mean we will not be seeing him on the small screen, he is currently filming a reality show for LOGO.
Back to Hairspray, I think he will be great in it. I openly admit I loved him in On The Line!

Randomness!
July 1st, 2007 under Broadway, Randomness. [ Comments: none ]

So some guy named Kato Kristophe asked me to be his MySpace friend. Ever since spammers created MySpace pages, I check out anyone’s page who asks me to be their friend. So I scrolled down to his friends’ list to make sure he had some and one of his friend is Andrea McArdle. McArdle is best known for playing Annie on Broadway, so of course I had to check out her MySpace page and add her as a friend! It was seriously such a treat, not only does she have songs of her doing Annie on it she also some of her other Broadway prerformances on her page! So being someone who loves a great Broadway Musical…especially Annie, I felt the need to share one of my favorite show tunes (Tomorrow) that she posted on her page with all of you!!!

A musical about Claymates!
June 19th, 2007 under American Idol 1-5, Broadway. [ Comments: none ]

Just like American Idol auditions are bein held for the Off-Broadway Musical Idol:The Musical according to Broadway.com. The show "is a satirical musical comedy that focuses on the outrageous and delusional fan base of the hit television show.   The musical takes place in Steubenville, Ohio where a group of dork-like students are preparing for their high school graduation after which they are determined to drag themselves out of the dregs of the middle-of-nowhere.  There are eight of them; all belonging to the same cult-like club that meets daily in a barn that doubles as a shrine to Clay Aiken…The story heats up when the mid-American leg of the 'Idol Tour,' starring Clay Aiken, is announced to be playing Chicago, Memphis, Louisville, Scranton, Charleston, Greensboro,  Roanoke and…Steubenville." If you want to audition for the show, check out Broadway.com for more information about what they are casting for.
Since I am a Claymate, I can't wait to see this show!!!

WTF? Young Frankenstein says no to Chloris Leachman via letter.
June 7th, 2007 under Broadway, Cloris Leachman. [ Comments: none ]

Screw the Broadway version of Young Frankenstein. They sent a letter telling to extremely talented Chloris Leachmen that her services were no longer need for the production according to Army Archerd. A bloody letter to someone like Chloris Leachman, how wrong is that? The stupid director says she wants to keep the film and the Broadway musical separate, WTF? Mel Brooks had already told her he wanted back and said, "Cloris is going to steal the show — all she has to do is walk on the stage — she'll bring the house down." Seriously one person, and that one person being Chloris Leachman, will not make a difference. I say boycott this show because it is already sounding like a real bomb.

If you want to save Chloris Leachmen, you can visit the Save Frau Blucher website and send nuts! Just joking about the nuts, but they do work!

Chloris Leachman good, Young Frankenstein the Musical bad.
