Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani finally got engaged in October, and now they are getting close to setting a date. At least that is what he told Hoda Kotb on Today today.
“I’m afraid if she and I wait until next November, then I’m right back into ‘The Voice’ cycle again, and I really want to be able to have plenty of time before and after, so hopefully this summer,” Shelton said. “I think we’re right here at the point with COVID, it looks like it may be OK, but don’t know, so that’s tentatively the plan.”
And who does he plan on having as a wedding singer? He still doesn’t know. However, with all of the offers the betrothed couple are getting from the likes of Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine, he is thinking of throwing a concert wedding. I think they should get Donny and Marie Osmond. Why? Because he is a little bit Country and she is a little bit Rock’n’Roll. Although if they sing that song, then the brother and sister will have to change who sings what.
Ever since Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani announced that they are engaged, everyone wants to know if the country singer’s frenemy Adam Levine will sing at his wedding.
Yesterday, when the Maroon 5 singer was on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, they asked him how much he would charge the couple. “They can’t afford me,” he said jokingly.
Then he went on to say they have not asked him yet, and he doesn’t consider Shelton telling Seth Meyers on Late Night an ask. Plus, Levine thinks that his “friend” will ask someone like Luke Bryan instead. Personally, I think they would go with Trace Adkins since Shelton performed the nuptials as an ordained minister at his wedding. I mean, I would rather have my first dance to be to Honky Tonk Badonkadonk than Moves Like Jagger any day.
For years, people have speculated that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are already married. Well, they are not. How can I say that with such confidence? Because the two of them just got engaged.
The couple shared a photo after he proposed. He wrote, “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life… I love you. I heard a YES!” Did he? “yes please! 💍🙏🏻,” she said.
The two met when she joined The Voice in 2014. They did not get together until they both split from their spouses in 2015. She was married to Gavin Rossdale, and he was with Miranda Lambert.
There is no word when they will tie the knot, but I have a feeling they will have a barn wedding in Oklahoma. I also think it will be sooner rather than later. It will be interesting to see what role her three boys, Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 4, will play in their mom’s big day.
I have a feeling the producers are not going to be with happy with the news. There was a report that they wanted them to get engaged on the NBC singing competition. That ain’t gonna happen now. Maybe NBC can air a special of their wedding day as a thank you present for introducing them?
Blake Shelton was on Kelly Clarkson’s talk show today, and the competitive talk show host challenged him to a trivia game. The two Voice coaches wanted to see who is a bigger fan of The Golden Girls. Believe it or not, Gwen’s Hollaback boy knew the answer to all four questions. While his friend technically didn’t know any of them. How is that possible?
When it comes to which Golden Girl they are. Shelton is so a Rose, and Clarkson is a Sophia. Instead of cheesecake, they drink his Smithworks Vodka.

Every season the coaches of The Voice use their voices to harmonize one song together. This season they are singing Bob Marley’s One Love, and I have one love for it.
Who knew that John Legend and Kelly Clarkson had the vocals for Reggae? When it comes to the lovers Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, it is good that they have one love for each other.
The singing competition returns to NBC on October 19th.
