Beyoncé released her first Country album today, and there is a cover of Dolly Parton’s Jolene on Cowboy Carter.
We don’t know why Beyoncé chose that song in particular. But we do know that Parton has been wishing for that to happen for at least two years. And wishes do come true.
In 2022, Miss Dolly told Trevor Noah on The Daily Show, “I think she’s fantastic, beautiful, and I love her music. I would just love to hear Jolene done in just a big way, kind of like how Whitney [Houston] did to my I Will Always Love You to someone who can take my little songs and make them like powerhouses. So that would be a marvelous day in my life. If she ever does Jolene.”

Beyoncé is one of the most influential women in the world, and I wish she would’ve made a better choice regarding her attire, or should I say lack thereof of any clothes.
She should’ve told them I don’t need to look like a Kardashian, especially since she has two daughters.
Beyoncé doesn’t need to dress like that because she is established, and a sucessful businesswoman. Unlike so many women walking the red carpet these days with their tits showing, she has talent and doesn’t need the press for showing off her body.
I know I sound like a grumpy old woman, but I am so sick of seeing naked celebrities out and about. Let’s do better for the next generation. Because at this rate, we will be dressing like Adam and Eve before they found the fig leaves.
Kevin Bacon likes to serenade the animals on his farm with music. And yesterday, he decided to belt out some Beyoncé with his wife, Kyra Sedgwick.
So, what tune did they do? Single Ladies? Crazy in Love? Halo? 16 Carriages? Nope! It was Texas Hold ‘Em. And I think the Bacons are going to have a busy summer because their animals are drunk in love and are going to make a lot of babies after that rendition.
Last year, Dolly Parton released a Rock album, and the community, like Journey’s Steve Perry, welcomed her with open arms.
This year, Beyoncé is releasing the Country album Renaissance: Act II, and not everyone is happy with it.
So, the Queen of Country has a message for her fellow Queen Bey. “I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album!”
Hopefully, with that, all of the haters will do a line dance with Beyoncé because Texas Hold ‘Em is a better tune and more unifying than a lot of their music.
