|  Tracy Morgan pleaded guilty Wednesday to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge. The 38-year-old comic, who co-stars on the NBC sitcom “30 Rock,” submitted the plea in Manhattan Criminal Court in exchange for a conditional discharge, meaning he must meet conditions set by the court and the case against him will be dismissed. Judge Ellen Coin ordered Morgan to enter a doctor-supervised
alcohol program, do community service to be determined later, and avoid being arrested again within the next six months. The judge also fined Morgan $1,000 and suspended his driver’s license for six months. Outside court, Morgan, who came to court in a taxi with wife Sabina, apologized for his behavior. “Drinking and driving is not cool,” he said, and he promised he would never be in that situation again. On Dec. 2, 2005, Morgan was arrested in Hollywood on impaired driving charges after police stopped him for
speeding. Authorities there said his blood-alcohol level was 0.13 percent, over the legal limit of 0.08 percent. He leaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge and was sentenced to 36 months’ probation, fined $390 and ordered to attend an alcohol education program.

|  Hollywood actor Ryan O’Neal has been arrested in California for allegedly assaulting his son, Griffin, police said on Sunday. Officers went to Ryan O’Neal’s home in Malibu on Saturday and arrested him for assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm. The 65-year-old actor was freed on bail after five hours in detention over what police called a "family dispute". Griffin O’Neal, 42, was not hurt in the incident although a 22-year-old woman suffered injuries that were not gun related. Police said they had not yet determined how many shots had been fired from the handgun.

Rapper Busta Ryhmes was busted again. This time, he’s charged with beating up one of his drivers. Rhymes, 34, turned himself in Wednesday night and was booked on a misdemeanor assault charge at a Manhattan police station. Wearing a red, long-sleeved shirt and jeans, Rymes was led out of the station late Wednesday. He’s due in court in lower Manhattan Thursday. The rap star, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was charged with assaulting one of his limo drivers in a dispute over 19 days of pay the driver says he was owed. The man told police that Rhymes had punched and kicked him numerous times in a confrontation outside a lower Manhattan building on Dec. 26. This is the latest legal problem for the rapper. Last August, Rhymes was charged with assaulting a man who spit on his car after a Randall’s Island concert. Police have also sought to question Rhymes as a potential witness in the shooting death of his bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, last February — a case that’s still unsolved.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was arrested in December 2006 on drunk driving and cocaine possession charges following a police stop outside an Arizona nightclub. Tyson, 40, was pulled over when his BMW nearly struck a sheriff’s cruiser after he left a Scottsdale bar. When he failed field sobriety tests, the pugilist was arrested for driving under the influence. A subsequent search turned up two small bag of cocaine in Tyson’s pocket and another bag in his car. He was booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s lockup
I think that is the best mugshot of the year because he looks like he is sticking his tongue out and it comes two days before the end of the year! It was so worth the wait!

Director Gus Van Sant was arrested early yesterday morning on a drunk driving charge in Oregon, The Smoking Gun has learned. Van Sant, 54, was popped at 1:40 AM by Portland cops and booked into the Multnomah County jail, where the below mug shot was snapped. According to a police spokesman, Van Sant was stopped at a traffic light when cops noticed his 2006 Porsche Cayenne’s headlights were off. Van Sant was then pulled over and officers detected "glassy eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol," said Sgt. Brian Schmautz. The famed director failed field sobriety tests and blew a .19 on a Breathalyzer (more than twice the state’s legal limit of .08). Van Sant, who was nominated for an Academy Award for 1997’s "Good Will Hunting," has also directed "Elephant," "Drugstore Cowboy," and "My Own Private Idaho." He is scheduled for a January 17 court appearance on the misdemeanor driving under the influence charge.
